These guys obviously must of worked for Hellkom before joining Neotel.

That's about 2 months, They are still putting it cables here in PE :confused:
 
so in other words they just taking over from telkom, same old crap just another name.

I have my unlimited ADSL account at quite a high price but I think its worth it consider I download soo much, and this brings me to my point here today.

They have been lying to us for soooo long now and I still haven't seen any nevertel infrastructure in my area and I don't happen to live in the bundu's, I'm in JHB, next time if our lovely Mr Panday wants to lie again, he should at least consult his last lie and actually check the ratings, if you want to lie again and again there has to at least a little bit of change of plot. I do mind being lied to constantly but to be seen as an idiot???? gosh I will not have that:confused::mad:

This is not entirely true. When Neotel planned their initial products they were under the impression they would be using Eskom and Transnet's networks and so were the rest of us. After building their bigger and better network they were on track with their wholesale and corporate offerings and their consumer offering won't be any different. Geographic number portability was only introduced on the first of this month and has to be tested now. Expect a real announcement in the next month. ;)

It's on their website, you can choose either internet or voice. It's expected that a lot of Telkom and mobile customers already getting both will move over but more importantly they would not be a converged solutions provider if they weren't pushing both.

i'm willing to give them till may 2008, before really tearing into them cos I'm optimistic about their impact. Let's hope I won't be disappointed.

perhaps ajay pandey (ceo) should be barred from talking to the media until they officially launch.

At least it is now guaranteed that this announcement will come before the end of March. I hope they announce the launch date of their services instead of announcing another announcement. And to think that some of their announcements are lies!
 
As someone pointed out earlier, when NeoTel actually do decide to launch, most of the people that would of actually mattered would have immigrated. Brilliant strategy!
 
Makes you wonder whether this Neotel is a sick joke or something. Here you have some MD. All he does is to lie and lie. And right now that is all we know about him. Why not just tell the truth, even if it is bad...or is this lying really working? When they eventually launch (in 2010 maybe), I am going to sign a 24 month contract with Telkom nogal! This will teach them to treat me like a fool.

I agree with aadil that you would be a fool.

I don't understand the purpose of this article. Is it to just get people talking by regurgitating the same old crap taken completely out of context but not include any of the really important details?

What is not mentioned is that almost all of the delays were by our esteemed government officials and when Neotel finally managed to go ahead and do their own thing at their own pace they made remarkable progress. They have shown us what they are capable of with their wholesale and business offerings and this is not taken into consideration by certain forumites accusing them of being inept and incompetant.

I would rather wait a few extra months if it means they launch something that works like it should when it should. They are not some fly by night cheap broadband venture but in it for the long haul. If they weren't I would say just launch like virgin did until Neotel arrives. Oh wait, they are Neotel, get my point?
