I thought Telkom had stopped giving away the free routers for SIO clients.
A while back. That's why telkom don't cap you on local. Unlimited local doesn't have to be free but you have to have unlimited local. Mweb,Telkom,Cybersmart is ISP's I used and they comply. Mweb is just the better cause they give unlimited local bandwidth free
We don't offer unlimited local bandwidth... our local only and international accounts use two seperate realms. But our bandwidth doesn't get lost on the last day of the month...
Come to think of it, I have a friend who has the uncapped local with his 3GB account. The ugly thing is, that his first 3GB feeds the local usage as well. Most of my clients run two accounts on a decent router where I load IP tables... Local goes to local, and international to international. (Ant1body)
I also have clients using my local only for their vox phones. If they don't have a computer and they get ADSL just for a vox phone, I give them free local only... I mean a person who makes loads of calls only costs me a few rand a month in bandwidth... and I get comm on their calls...

Is there any way of getting neotel without signing a contract???
By my calculations it is still the cheapest option to get a dsl line and buy by the gig which gets you to about R220 per gig and then about R70 per gig after that. The modem is also the cheapest at around R600 for entry level whereas an iburst desktop modem will set you back over R2000 and a simple 3g modem about R1500 and then the gigs are more expensive
Anyway, what can we do...

Who would actually seriously consider this? From a business perspective, no uncapped and no QoS guarantees means it's not really suitable for business, and it's outpriced as a consumer offering. So what is the point of NeoFlex?

Now I was comparing the prices with what we charge... how the hell does this qualify as spam? Or is it now unethical to point out facts to customers?

my point exactly, neoflex doesn't offer calling and is R100 more expensive. again i say this. I'll have to be high from drugs, completely stupid and be totally out of my mind (must meet all three criterias) before i will sign up to neoflex.
Let me first welcome you here to MyBroadband, where you will have no options but monopoly. I do have evidence that your post is inaccurate, but as Gatecrasher has pointed out, because I work in the industry I am not allowed to inform you. So the best course of action for you is to sign the 24 month contract and sell your soul to SATAN as Neotel is obviously the only solution that exists... *sarcasm*
