Neotel NeoConnect details

Thanks RPM.

I'm pleased with this. R600 for 10GB unshaped is pretty good for 3G. Can't wait for their cheaper offers!!

I guess we'll have to wait to find out about month-to-month and prepaid though :(

Have we got official confirmation from Neotel that we need to sign a 24 month contract?

It's not on Neotel site and I haven't read it on any articles on this site. I've only read a few forum posts. So I'm not sure.

Is that 10GB only international? Or does it include local?
What is the cost of 30GB local? Will they split it correctly if I connect to an international site versus a local site?
Is there a 24 month contract?

24 month contract!!!!!! For what ..... leveraging cost of some stupid a$$ device

I still feel bitter taste in my mouth form funding Sentech's dead end equipment for 24 months just to have it sitting in the box.......

So long we don't spend our cash funding propitiatory technology.....
actually I want to be able walk to any electronic shop and choose device I want to use with Neotel or any others service provider....preferably this device should have open source firmware and big open source community backing.....

Good news for Internet users looking for an unshaped service is that the NeoConnect Prime package offers an unshaped service, with no restrictions on any protocol, including P2P services.

Note the wording used "offers"
...So the unshaped option will cost more?

Screw the speed give me 400kbps and uncapped and I will be happy I don't need that 2.4mbps stuff...

Still seems to be lacking in details! No new info on the 2 year contract, nothing on upgrades and cross-grades, nothing on GNP, nothing on static IP's, no fixed dates on anything. Just a rehash of the press release and website, with the news of unshaped thrown in. What a poor showing.

Well at least that is something. I unfortunately won't benefit because I don't use P2P and the pings MyBroadband were getting in their test from the service means that I won't be using it to play games...

Same, I don't use/want p2p just plain downloading, and about gaming... as long as I can play my favourite MMO's I am hapy :)

Now it's 8c per meg compared to 7c per meg several days earlier, so if this is the rate when they officially offer the product it will be XXc per meg??
