Neotel network speed degradation update

Which station is covering Leeuwkop Road in Sunninghill?

Also I noticed that the signal which was a constant 2-3 is now barely on one or nothing - what is the reason for this? Any else in Sunninghill area experiencing this?
 
Megawatt Park ought to cover Sunninghill.
Woodlands / Megawatt Park ought to cover Wendywood / Bowling avenue.

I should have an updated suburb list next week.

how about areas which are not covered in your list ie: GreenstoneHill, according to your list some of the areas will only be done as late as April? Does this mean the other areas might only be covered later this year?

Just want to make sure, if this is the case I will have to cancel my contract, I am not even able to browse the internet as it is now....

Did you'll find the root cause for the network issues? Is it too complicated for us ?? =) Would be interesting to know what the probs were...

I have now reached to lowest with Neotel speeds, average of 8-7KBp for a download last night, this morning frequent drops in the connection and still 1 bar signal.
What the hell is going on - Neotel rep?

Hi Neotel, please could you advise when the upgrade in halfway house is complete.

I will then give feedback on my performance.

it's 1:30pm now and not much has changed...

Forgive my ignorance.

Do you only have one team of techs in a bakkie upgrading these areas one at a time or is it vastly more complicated than that?

I know I am the worst kind of customer (You know the one who actually wants to get what he paid for), but what the hell?

I can appreciate the niceness of all these people thanking you like you're doing them a favor, but I don't get to keep my one thousand bucks for the entire two months it takes for your bakkie to make it's rounds.

And please, I don't want some manager or office god to phone me and make a special allowance to shut me up, there are thousands of non-confrontational South Africans who are getting the same knock.

Please make me feel better. Please tell me that all the available experts you could possibly find are on this problem and you are not giving us the 'please be patient' schpiel! Your accounts department is not as patient as we are, If I had to do what you guys are doing (pay 50 bucks instead of a thousand and sy 'please be patient) to your accounts department, they would hire an entire law firm to get the money out of me!

I'm not hammering you mr Neotel Rep... I know you are a worker just like the rest of us.

I would just love more clarity than 'moenie worrie nie, ons bakkie sal volgende maand by jou area uitkom.'

Uhh..... I don't mean to sound stupid here, but, on your priority list, you don't have the Sandton CBD, Joburg CBD or Randburg main CBD.... any idea when you will fix those ( one would expect most of your customers would use those ones ), or can you suggest somewhere I can point my antenna to, as I can't seem to find a base station that "works". (I live in Bryanston, about 2.3km south east of the centre of Olivedale, and 1km east of Olivedale clinic)

A: For a normal 56k line. (I guess what they will say)
 
Hi neotel rep..just wanted to know if moreletapark is on your list...im stuck with weak download speeds on my neo prime aswell...why do I still receive these speeds with a rssi of 64??
 
Please note that if there was some sort of "upgrade" in Vorna Valley/Midrand this weekend, it did not take.

I'm still getting mostly under 100kbps (that's kilobits) on the download phase.

I think it's time for a co-ordinated media, internet, Hello Peter, and anything else blitz.

Anyone else?

They probably didn't do the upgrade because of the weather. Let's hope they do it next weekend (or if we are really lucky they will do it tonight).
 
I don't know about you guys, but ever since about 11:45 last night, my stuff has magically started working again. Im dl'ing at 180KB/s and my pings are like 80ms. It's really great. This is what I pay the R1000 a month for. I hope you guys' lines get fixed too.

I live in Bryanston right next to Olivedale clinic.
 
Yeah same - my dloads started flying last night @ about midnight - was p eaking at about 1000kbps, averaging about 800kbps... was very happy...
 
Anyone want to buy a yagi antenna from poynting for the neotel modems? Im in JHB - will make u a good price - only 2 weeks old. Includes 2m pole also.
 
I'm in Vorna Valley/ Kyalami.
I did a speed test Sunday Morning 7.51 AM.
London 1500kbps
California 1400kbps
Johannesburg 1200kbps.

This is good but it might have just been that time of the morning.
Will do one tonight in peek time and report.

I live in weltevreden park and the speeds here are very eratic. Other then that the modem Neoflex MV400 constantly disconects and looses signal. But when it works for that 10 min a day its good :(
