If you have money to waste, it's a good backup option to ADSL. NEVER get this crap as your primary connection. If you think telkom support is bad, these guys will shock you.
Agreed!
We have recently been offered a day to work from home at our own cost. This would save hours of time wasted in traffic and would help reduce costs.
Unfortunately, with a Neoflex connection this is not possible. I tried it for one day and it failed horribly!
To work remotely via Citrix is a blessing especially as it requires minimal bandwidth. It does however require a reliable or stable link.
I have logged calls, not to mention that I have never received feedback to date.. not even months later!
It not a simple connection drop. The router still shows that it is connected, it just stops routing traffic.
Power down, power up, curse at Neotel, service restored!
With the recent survey that was sent out by MYBroadband, I had to fill it out three times and resubmit, not to mention that this was at 05:15AM, definitely not peak time!
Again the power down, power up, curse at Neotel, service restored!
We all had high hopes for Neotel and we have all been let down. (Three people at our office complain daily, not just from my perspective.)
I will move my household back to Telkom soon, at least they did have the decency to call back and provide feedback, even days later.
In my 8 years with Telkom as an ISP, I can only recall 5 outages (physical line breaks). There was the occasional routing issues as well. What really turned me away was due to the fact that I needed more bandwidth.
BUT with Neotel

we experience at least 3 routing failures every hour
Good thing I held on to my Billion ADSL2+/3G Router! (Sorry Preggie)
