Since last night - I haven't been able to browse any websites. The Neotel connects but I cannot browse or ping ANYTHING! Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Mine was working this morning, doing a lovely 20KB/s

I knew the 100KB/s I was getting just the other day was a short term thing - Neotel was dangling a carrot infront of me

After finally being able to open the axessmanager tool - I found my RSSI was spiking from 77 to 0 to 120 back to 77. I was getting about 400kbps MAX from speedtest.net. Average download speeds was about 15-20KB/s. Quite bad. Very disappointed. Bad neotel bad!

I hope by the time I go home it's been fixed. It doesn't seem to be a global problem though. Ushir, I think you're in the same area as me.

You 2 should hook up, go for drinks and drown your Neotel sorrows... I did that last night! :)

lol. A Neotel support group! I might have to do that this weekend. It's one thing not being able to download - it's another not being able to browse AT ALL. That really feels like being cut off from the world!

@ ushir / B2048:
I require you to please log a ticket with the call centre on 0800 333 636 and then provide the reference number to me.

Thanks.

When I tried calling earlier they didn't even bother logging a trouble ticket. I just got the "we have network problems" line. I am going to try again when I get home and if it's still a problem then I will log a trouble ticket.

Thanks, Neotel rep :D

Think I'll also log a ticket soon. My connection has been off and on for weeks now. I basically have internet in 5 min snippets.

Nope, I've been posting about it all over the forum. Just haven't gotten round to phoning them yet.

I wouldn't bother generally, I'd only do it to get the ticket - Neotel support are useless.

They like answering machines that speak back.

@ B2048 / TMoose: Please may I have your Neotel service number.

Hi guys, I have an interesting situation now whereby I can download from the newservers at 150K a sec on average, but as soon as I try opening up a webpage it kills it and heads south to virutally zero...also...websites are taking VERY long to open up even when im not downloading. which doesnt make sense since I am getting awesome speeds :(

Any ideas?

I had to log a call for them to fix it. So I was only up and running on Saturday afternoon. Of course, a courtesy phone call from Neotel to tell me that the call was resolved and I could now use the internet would have been nice - but I guess a bit too much to ask for.
