Considering replacing 2 Telkom lines with 2 Neotel lines in our office. We currently have a Telkom branded PABX with wireless handsets (3) that cost about R2000.
Neotel only want to sell us expensive Samsung PABX equipment that is far more complicated than we require. Does anyone know if you can connect any PABX device to the Neotel Router?
Has anyone installed a simple wireless PABX system on Neotel voice lines?
Feedback is much appreciated.

Hi,

Neotel does not sell PABX's however we provide the access line / service that allows the PABX to connect to the outside world.

Our channel partner (Samsung) carries out installation of the service (NeoFlex Voice) in conjunction with the PABX on site or recommends another PABX.

Hope this clears this up.

Asterisk & SIP, FTW! :)

EDIT: NeoTel only does PRIs though. Having 30 Lines or Channels for two people... Hmmm, not worth it really

We provide low entry communication solutions, that work with neotel lines. Give me a shot, and I'll put something together for you.

Neotel does entry level pri's drop me a mail

you only need neotel voice which is small wireless device with a analogue output that connects directly where your telkom line comes in the pabx.
The pabx will function in the same manner as before, because it sees the neotel line as a normal phone line. we have two at our office + 2 isdn lines + 4 telkom analogue and no probs
