How awesome I applied for ADSL this morning

Already got a call from telkom. The lady new exactly what I wanted and spoke clearly and was helpfull.

Line installation + dsl installation == R1100 not bad.

You do konw you can get your line and dsl installation for free right?
Closer plan 2 (R170 a month, no setup charge) and then just ask for adsl self install (no setup charge).

The closer plan 2 includes the phone line intallation with no charge. Just phone telkom and ask for the closer plan 2 (tell them you dont have a phone line) they will send someone to install it (for free!) when its installed phone them again and apply for your 4mb adsl line and tell them you want the self install option (again no setup fees, you will need to get yourself a router though). Ive done this before and never had to pay a cent for any installations.

I got my line installed last month with the closer plan 2 and did not pay an installation charge (i asked if i would have to pay and they said no). Give them a call and ask them if you dont believe me. 10219 theres the number

No wimax. No 3g. Not even a copper cable. Ibubbles barely works.

100% correct and also the biggest blow that ICASA/DOC dealt to Neotel, as this should have happened when they were given the SNO licence!! They were snookered from day 1.
