Netflix Error on Bitco's 5MB

What problem are you having? What error code are you getting?

I don't think the problem is related to just Bitco, I had issues as well but I am with Afrihost.

You are on the right track with your fault finding though. You might just have to search for your modem on the list and do as they say in the link.

Had to add some IP addresses to my modems "Static Routing" to get my problem sorted out. . .

Glad I came across this. Any idea on how to get around this using a Sitecom router? Don't see it listed :wtf:

I had to go through a process of getting Unotelly tech support "investigate" my modem only to find out that my new modem (Siemens Gigaset 762SX) wasn't going to work. Luckily I still had om trusty old Billion modem in the "spares" box which I could fall back on. Basically any modem that is capable of doing "Static Routing" will work (Asus , Billion, and most on their list). Add the 4 IP addresses to the static routing and you are good to go. . .

I have the Linksys router and i tried the test but the thing is i cant change the gateway on the router. Theres a default routing thats on the router and whatever routing ... i put its not being used.

The error i get is when testing Netflix Connection on both my Roku 3 and Ps3 it doesn't connect on Server 3. error nw-4-7

I believe this is due to the update that Netflix did on their side.

I am even thinking of connecting another router on top of that router and changing the DNS settings there. I dont know if that would work because i can change the routing/gateway on router 2 if its not going to be overridden by router 1(Main).

Did you try both Linksys methods? I suppose you did. Maybe log a ticket with Unotelly. They can remotely get into your PC and "fix" your problems for you. They asked me to get Teamviewer and Skype installed and then I just logged a fault with them when I was good to go. . . .

@Tango - Both methods ? i am only aware of 1. Please send me the link to the second method and i can try it

If you look at the link from Unotelly that you posted in your original post, on the left is a list under "More articles in Block Forced Public DNS Lookups " . There are two Linksys Options there - one for the old interface and another one for the new interface. That was what I was referring to. . . .

@Tango: i tied both methods and still not working: the unotelly guys weren't helpful either

Oi, sorry to hear that Dude. Did the Unotelly tech support give you any pointers as to what options are open to you? All I can say is then look at other modem options. Also check out other posts on the forum. Some forum members are using other options to get around the "DNS lookup" issue. . .

Funny thing: Netflix works on both my ipad and Note 3 but doesnt on the Roku 3 and Ps3. How is that even possible ?

Simple - the apps on the Roku and PS3 have, after their recent updates, forced DNS checks to public DNS servers encoded in them; the Apple and Android apps don't.

O snap: now it makes sense. I should have bought an apple tv 2 instead of a roku 3.

Who is selling a jailbroken apple tv ? I also need it for xbmc

According to the Unotelly link that you gave: "This update breaks SmartDNS support from providers like UnoTelly for Netflix on PS3, Roku, and Apple TV."

The issue has been resolved: thanks guys, to think i almost cancelled Netflix.
