The guy from Unotelly mentioned my isp was blocking certain port or they were reserved: he changed the dns port and it was working

Yea, i have followed that about 10 times. im sure i am inserting everything correctly but the ping tests do not fail as they should for some reason....

I didn't use a static route on my router, I used an IP block feature on my router's firewall. Check to see if you can also block IPs. These are my rules:

GoogleDNS_1 | 8.8.8.8~8.8.8.8 | 1:1023 | TCP/UDP
GoogleDNS_2 | 8.8.4.4~8.8.4.4 | 1:1023 | TCP/UDP
Level3DNS | 209.244.0.3~209.244.0.4 | 1:1023 | TCP/UDP
OpenDNS_1 | 208.67.220.220~208.67.220.220 | 1:1023 | TCP/UDP
OpenDNS_2 | 208.67.222.222~208.67.222.222 | 1:1023 | TCP/UDP

GoogleDNS_1_Ping | 8.8.8.8~8.8.8.8 | ICMP
GoogleDNS_2_Ping | 8.8.4.4~8.8.4.4 | ICMP
Level3DNS_Ping | 209.244.0.3~209.244.0.4 | ICMP
OpenDNS_1_Ping | 208.67.220.220~208.67.220.220 | ICMP
OpenDNS_2_Ping | 208.67.222.222~208.67.222.222 | ICMP

Sorry, might sound like a stupid question but are you saving the changes that you make when you enter the details?

i also had the same issue: on your unotelly dns use the following 46.165.219.110:5353.

Or log a call with unotelly, and invite unotelly25 and download teamviewer

I will attached my screenshots later tonight

Will appreciate this, thanks

Just one other thing that I remembered, make sure that the box "automatic" under WAN - Obtain DNS is unchecked. I missed that the first time round as well.

This solved my problem, thanks (although the ping test still doesnt fail )

Okay, let me see if I can't send you some screen shots of my modems settings. I am sure we can sort this out for you. Just hang in there - it might take a while. If you have time, maybe send me some pics of your static routing settings as you have them.

Keep checking your PM box as well ;)

Roku 3 checks your location using the Google DNS servers. Add the following IP Addresses to your static routes and rerouate back to your router ip address:

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
208.67.222.222
209.244.0.3

When you done, try to ping any of those ip addresses. You should get destination host unreachable. You should then be good to go.
