Hi there. My card does not seem to work on Netflix. Last year I managed to get a one year subscription - worked out very well. I've just gone onto Ebay and there is only one person with a netflix subscription, but no ratings. Not to keen to try it without any ratings. Anyone here know where else I can get a subscription? Thanks
 
With my Standard Bank credit card, I had to ensure that the billing address US zipcode I used for Netflix matches the postal of my credit card (on your credit card statement). What you need to do is find out what is the postal address where youR credit card statement goes to. Then you take those 4 postal code digits and "change" it into a US postal code with is 5 digits.

So if your SA postal code on your credit card statement is 1234, the address that you use when signing up to Netflix must then be at a US address with postal code x1234.

Don't understand the eBay angle, I also subscribed directly to Netflix with my SBSA card. As mentioned, just use a US or UK address depending on what you want
 
Unfortunately it did not work. But it is a cheque card and not a credit card. I don't like entropay as it charges way too much in fees. I think I'm going to try the unknown seller. Wish me luck.

thats just dodge dude.
easier just apply for a credit card, would be much easier and safer.
Cheque card doesn't work i know.

Maybe its his bank because I use an Fnb cheque card linked to a US Paypal account. I haven't seen mention of Paypal here maybe it's a route the OP could try before visiting the ebay shark

Have to agree with paypal > eBay option

Try VCpay also. Use the dollar amount when creating a credit card.
 
Hi Shads,

I initially had a problem buying the subscription using my CC (working now with an Oregon zip code). What I ended up doing was buying a 6 month voucher from Buyfrompowerseller. You can buy vouchers for both Hulu and Netflix and sometimes it works out cheaper than what it would've cost monthly.
 
Such complicatedness. Just sign up using your credit card.
 
Thanks for all the input! After going to sleep only after 12, I got frustrated and got the Ebay 12 months subscription. It is not a voucher, but you create a new login email address and send it to the guy and he then sets it up and you get a confirmation from Netflix. He then advises you, once he's loaded the 12 months, to change your password. I am hoping all goes well. He is also selling Hulu and I'm considering getting that from him. Just want to test the waters first. The one thing that was a bit of a problem, he is from Brazil, and it was the Brazil access that he gave me. I didn't know at first, and entered Netflix with Unotelly set to the USA, so netflix advised me that I am now in another region and my subscription will be moved to that country, meaning USA. So I have full USA viewing, but with a Brazil access. Will see how it pans out :) But in the meantime I'll get a credit card from one of the other banks. Tired of struggling lol. Thanks again guys.

Really doesn't make any difference apart from Brazil subs being ever so slightly higher.
