That's great if you want to watch a show in your phone or tablet, but most people will want to watch shows on their TV, and so far Showmax has really failed with this. I would love to watch Showmax, but I currently have no way to watch it on my TV, so it doesn't make sense for me to subscribe.
If memory serves you can download and then start viewing anytime, but once you've started watching something you downloaded you have 48 hours within which to finish it.
The download features aren't really aimed at people with home broadband connections. They seem to be aimed at folks without broadband at home. You download your shows/movies to your smartphone at work or while on a Wi-Fi hotspot (OntapTV and AlwaysOn launched a special deal for this), and then you can watch them at home.
I paid R640 for my Android box. I have a Mtn Uncapped connection at home, no adsl support. At 35KB/s this feature will work for me.![]()
Have you perhaps tried to check out Telkom Mobile's latest uncapped LTE deal, you might be lucky to be in one of the areas covered it'd be a HUGEEE upgrade for you
Slightly offtopic, but does Netflix charge your credit card (and then reverse immediately) when you sign up for the free trial?
I read somewhere that Android boxes - not sure if all - can't have HD?I paid R640 for my Android box. I have a Mtn Uncapped connection at home, no adsl support. At 35KB/s this feature will work for me.![]()

Do I understand this correctly? I cant run Unotelly DNS and SHOWMAX at the same time?
I don't see why you shouldn't be able to. Netflix and Showmax are two different services.
