Netflix ZA Live

Give it a chance, hot off the press, the app will surely follow shortly. Good news for consumers.
I did the showmax thing but the only thing I really wanted to watch was that Vikings show, the rest to me was, well, bleh.

Well for your R200 you might be able to watch two series then. Unless they improve their lineup I can see us dumbing it in 2 months. Really very little content that I've not seen or interested in watching again that is not on ShowMax.

If you want to see SA content disable unotelly; your account will work as normal but with the local content.

enable it again to return to the US version.

Surely they'll have a fixed local price per month?

Any local content ?

Not that I'm into it, but curious

Seriously, how much entertainment can you get for R200? A couple of half priced movies on a Tuesday? Some 1990s DVDs from the last remaining video store.

Hey I love my Always Sunny series ... which you can't get on DSTV ;)

nice... albeit more expensive.... same price for basic, but only one stream. on US account, u could add multiple 'users', we had myself and daughter, and many a times ran 2 streams, one in living room, one for kid.
still, its early days... lets have looksee what comes out

edit... just had a look... I can open NF without VPN addition.... and click Sign in.. clocked in with existing US account.
haven't tried streaming anything yet.... work to do :(
but its got my history... so seems to keep your existing account and history, nice
still .... if its same price, just now unblocked for ZA, will probly keep US acc going :)
VPN providers, UnoTelly & Mediahint may take a bit of a knock if not needed anymore, for same content

edit some more :) ... quick squiz.... clicked a TV episode... plays fine with US acc.

The app isn't available on the SA store yet (iOS) but the SA content still shows if I disable Unotelly on my iPad/iPhone with the US app. They seem to have shows like Suits which I don't think are on the US Netflix. The line up seems fine though.

Edit: Correction it is now on the iTunes Store https://appsto.re/za/Jg_Qv.i

Found house of cards going via Unotelly, tried to play with SA Netflix account:

I've cancelled my SA account, only effective 5th Feb, sticking with US Netflix account.

Great news but not enough for me to give up my Unotelly sub. Still use it for Hulu even all the ads.
Unotelly is still an awesome tool for Netflix because it lets you switch Netflix regions which basically increases your Netflix library more than 10 fold. Netflix in SA will still only allow you to see content that is licensed in SA so great to be able to switch to content in the US or any other content.

Check out https://www.filmefy.com/ to see where you can get which shows. Real handy.
