Netflix ZA Live

I'm glad about this. The later versions of the Android app made it impossible to use with Chromecast outside of their regions (really never understood this). So at least I will be able to start using the Android app again :D
 
Now that Naspers know what the competition charges you can expect a price increase for Showmax soon. Mark my words.
 
Just signed up... please be aware, me like a noob used the same email address I used a while ago when I subbed to Netflix USA and it remembered me and then my one month free wasnt free but charged my PayPal account the full $11.99 (I chose the expensive option because I thought I was getting one month for free :P ) But its all good Ive also had a great experience with Netflix and competition is good especially in SA.
 
Has anyone chatted to Netflix support about the Smart TV app and PS3 app not being available? I'm in the queue, but it will still take about 15min.

On the ps3 - create a new user and set your location as the US - then go to the store and install Netflix. You can then switch back to the original user and the app will be there for you to run.

AFAIK apps have to be submitted to Sony for approval and a fee paid for it to be approved for a specific region. That means several applications to get the same app published on each regional PSN store.

I learned about this during the painful (and long) wait for a Crunchyroll PSVita app on SA PSN. Based on this it could be a while. Damn Sony milking developers for every yen they can get, and they wonder why people pirate/use VPNs.

Why on earth did they go and keep the rate in $$$? Now Showmax will stay ahead... R99 vs R158 or something like that. And if I read previous posts correct the content is also less than US version? Disappointed :-(
 
Without a Samsung Smart TV app available yet, how can I get this onto my smart TV?
