Morning all,

So I installed my DGN2000 on my new ADSL line ... all good and extremely easy to get going (via the LAN ports :)). I am having major issues with the wireless connections to the unit. My notebook will connect (about 6 meters away from the router), stay connected for about a minute, and then disconnect .... this keeps happening over and over again.

Current settings for Wireless as follows:
  • DHCP Enabled
  • 802.11n on router and notebook
  • WPA-Personal

Oh, and I upgraded to the latest firmware before configuring the router

Why not remove all possible configuration settings and see if its a hw fault or setting causing the issue?

Ie. Assign static ips, remove password protection etc.

I also bought a Netgear wireless ADSL router for our company recently, works really well....but I had to change the ADSL2+ setting to just ADSL, for some reason the Telkom line didn't like it.

Love Netgear, the router arrived with its own POTS filter and even a cat5 network cable in the box!

I too have a DGN2000 and had the same problem at my parents house. It turned out that inteferance from other networks in the area caused the connection problems. Try setting the wireless speed at 130Mbps and changing the channel to someting thats not in use by someone else.

I am still running at 270, but switched the channel to Auto ... seems to have worked ok, as I get better reception now ... even managed to update my PSP firmware from the 1st floor last night :)

Good to hear that its working now.

Inteferance i quite a big problem with 2.4GHz 802.11N routers since 2 channels are used to transmit data. Thats why i recommended setting the speed to 130Mbps since it forces the router into single channel mode. So just remember that tip if you have connection problems again.

I have the exact same router as you, and it's Wireless is working perfectly with 4+ devices at the same time.

Funnily enough the Wired was giving me a few issues, but that's been sorted out now.

Good luck!
