Never mind. The TV mode for that input had true motion enabledShould I be setting the device’s display mode to 4k2k-23.976hz?
I assume that would remove the soap opera effect.
When would you want to use 60,50,30,25hz?

Have you let it auto decide what resolution etc to push ?Anyone here using the Nova with a JBL Bar 500 or greater soundbar. I cannot get it to work connected directly to the soundbar HDMI input (anything above 1080p causes screen to flash constantly)
Connected to the TV works correctly and I get 4k and audio outputs correctly through the soundbar.
On auto it does not work, and the screen just flashes, almost seems to reset and get a weird green screen before it reverts back to the flashing screen.Have you let it auto decide what resolution etc to push ?
What if you manually set resolutions in settings ?
No it won'tI'm also considering buying a Dolby Atmos soundbar. But my issue is the Nova Box seems not to be able to decode Atmos sound. My question is, will the Atmos soundbar be able to play true Atmos sound effects since Nova doesn't decode Atmos sound but the content it will play will have Atmos?
No. You will get 5.1 only. Atmos part will simply not play and to be honest, with a soundbar you won't even know the differenceI'm also considering buying a Dolby Atmos soundbar. So what are you saying, I should go ahead and get the Atmos soundbar? No. You will get 5.1 only. Atmos part will simply not play and to be honest, with a soundbar you won't even know the difference
Hell yesSo what are you saying, I should go ahead and get the Atmos soundbar?
It will on Apple TV, Tidal and Amazon. It won’t on Netflix.I'm also considering buying a Dolby Atmos soundbar. But my issue is the Nova Box seems not to be able to decode Atmos sound. Some of them can actually be ok in the right setting with normal height ceiling. In fact, many people prefer bouncing off a ceiling rather than the direct overhead speakers, unless you have heigh ceilingsNo. You will get 5.1 only. Im not following. From the specs I saw it does not support atmos. So it will simply drop that part from the source file to the soundbar. An atmos soundbar is just plain surround if the input doesnt have atmosIt will on Apple TV, Tidal and Amazon. It won’t on Netflix.
They don’t mention it on the specs because there are apps that don’t - specifically Netflix.Im not following. From the specs I saw it does not support atmos. Are you saying a netogy nova supports atmos? I see no evidence of thatThey don’t mention it on the specs because there are apps that don’t - specifically Netflix.
If they advertise as Dolby Atmos and apps like Netflix don’t do it, it’ll be a huge thing with people returning the box.
When I watch something with Atmos my soundbar says Atmos. Are you saying a netogy nova supports atmos? I see no evidence of that
That’s exactly what I’m saying. But it’s limited. And not advertisedAre you saying a netogy nova supports atmos? I see no evidence of that
Ok then I'm onboard. But the specs don't say anything which is very oddWhen I watch something with Atmos my soundbar says Atmos.
I told you whyOk then I'm onboard. But the specs don't say anything which is very odd
It's easier to say no than to say yes*** and then list the limitations or have to deal with people that can't read.Ok then I'm onboard. But the specs don't say anything which is very odd
