Ummm, are you sure that it wasn't the iBurst forum where you saw that? - there were [post=242395]major problems with iBurst in Pretoria in July [2005]...[/post]unless I have neglected to read an important thread in this forum, I am not aware of any general problems with Vodacom's 3G in Pretoria - only BBSA's tower that seems to be hugely problematic...trws said:Hi V3G
I have read your message to BBSA, but I'm still not sure that is the extend of the problems in Pretoria. It does not seems to be only one problematic "cell". I have read other forums also and it seems that there are many people specifically in Pretoria which is unhappy.
Is it one cell, two or ten cells which are affected? Could you also please let me know which areas are affected?

I know what you're saying, and yes by all means share your experiences here - that's what the forum is forBBSA said:Not sure if this always works. Then I phone they said I must upgrade my SIM, and we all know that was BS.![]()
It was only then started to post on Myadsl.co.za (and with the help of V3G) that my problem was taken serious.
Do not under estimate the power of forums like this![]()

.
True, with every call centre there are experienced call centre agents and less experienced agents, but if they are unable to solve the problem over the phone, then getting the problem logged and a reference number will result in logged problems receiving attention further up the support chainBBSA said:I’m with you, and I did have my moments where I had great service from Vodacom support, just depends who you get on the other side.![]()

It seems to take a very long time to get a straight forward answer, does Vodacom actually knows what is the status of there own network?
vodacom3g said:As I replied in post #28 above (few hours after you asked the first time), I checked with the various people and there is no general network problem, so I'm not to sure if I did not answer your question or if I missed what you're asking?![]()
