Network Problems ?

Perhaps someone could help me out here . I was able to connect my laptop to my wifes "host" laptop at home through wi-fi , I have since changed my sim to Vodacom from MTN and have downloaded the Telkom generic softwear so that my E220 was no longer network specific . Now I cant connect to her laptop anymore (to browse) although the 2 are "connecting" to each other . I now cannot browse from my laptop any more .Any ideas as to what the problem could be ?

unless i misunderstand the issue here is not with ur e220 modem..
Check your machines ip (dont have the modem plugged in), then check hers,
do they look similar except for the last digit?
Is the subnet mask the same?

Are you using ICS(Internet Connection Sharing)? Is the 3G set up on her pc or yours?

Sorry guys for only coming back to you now . Yes we are using internet connection sharing . The E220 is plugged into her (host) laptop and I am connecting to it from my netbook (wi-fi) . The problem is , is that the networks can connect , but dont want to "internet share"
