New Apple TV:

If I want to convert some .mkv to .mp4 for itunes support, whats the best program to use so I will not lose any quality on video and sound?

Hope everyone already knows it doesn't support USB, only USB diagnostics to a PC, so you will have to connect through ethernet or wifi.

The aerial views are amazing.
App Store a bit bare but growing quickly.Just happy I can run Plex.

Does anyone know if the Supersport app works or is available on the new Apple TV?

AirPlay finally works every time, I used to have to use Kodi airplay feature but that gave me endless issues.

Nice to be able to beam anything to the TV now, kids especially love it.

No Supersport on the Apple TV app store.
I'm sure it will never come to it, as Multichoice wants you to use your TV for DSTV not Apple TV.
The other supersport applications were for mobile users, meant to compliment DSTV, not replace.
They should really think of making supersport available on Apple TV for a nominal fee.
I would pay R100 a month for that service.

It's great but not going to be for everyone as it will not be a simple app store download and will require a workaround to install. Last I heard it'll need a Mac and a developer account - then you'll need to build it yourself and install it essentially like you would be if you were testing it.

Or jailbreak if/when that comes.

Seems most people have their money bet on infuse.

http://firecore.com/infuse

Tested it on the iphone and really impressed.

What is infused? Seems like a normal video player, of which i have vlc for that.

Iv never used it but it looks like a pretty plex that doesnt need a dedicated server running like Plex does.

Seems it can play off anything like nas or network shares etc and uses the ATV4 hardware instead of decoding like plex does.
