New BBC channels for DSTV

Rather give me BBC Radio 1 thanks.

Curious about BBC Entertainment, although I am not a fan of British dramas - their comedies are great though! The others are just channel fillers.
 
I think BBC Knowledge will be good - BBC has excellent documentaries and will be good to have access to all of them…
 
btw, was in England about a month ago. CBeebies is like KTV, if I recall correctly.

BBC Sport would also be cool. Then we may get to watch like obscure village football hehehe like midlands giants versus lincolnshire stars

We'd probably be better off if we got regular BBC programming, not some "special" DSTV version.
 
CBeebies I am not so interested in... the other 3 I am... esp if it means we'll get some of the decent Wildlife stuff that the BBC put out.. esp if its in HD... the Planet Earth series was beyond amazing in HD.
 
ya what happened to playboy tv? hustler? i mean those will be a hit! forsure. hehehe

Seems like DStv will be launching National Geographic HD.

Channel 15 on the public bouquet you can hear the audio for it but no picture.

I think you can tune into BBC Radio 1 in the audio bouquet?
 
I am a fan of British shows. Wildlife, comedy, drama etc. The BBC have often made some of the best shows and programs on tv. My only concern is that we, South Africa, will be lumped with a bunch of out-of-date crap that gets repeated all day every day. Looking at the various websites, the channels don't look that bad, but then again we have to see what programs this country gets as compared to others receiving the same BBC channel bundle.

i feel you. i also want PLAYBOY channel. who asked for all this 4 channels? We always ask for Adult channel, but they rather make us take out a survey. and guess what? we hear nothing but BBC 4 NEW Channels. Shame DSTV. your viewers will increase a lot with Playboy. :mad::mad::mad:

Beggars can't be choosers. However I'm no beggar. I pay my DSTV Premium
subscription fees every month, since 1996. Sorry chum but DSTV
is being paid to introduce decent channels, we're not getting anything for free from them. Your remark is highly inappropriate.

Pity the masses cannot afford to watch all these shows. But then again I was in a shared accomodation last week and it had DSTV, and skipped through all the channels and found very little that was really interesting.
