New career path!

Thought I'd give you guys a quick update.
After being with ER24 for just under a month (I started 14th March) I am resigning from ER24.

Metro EMS called me yesterday and told me I was successful in my interview and will be starting on Monday - I've wanted this for so long and now I am finally getting what I wanted!
I resigned last night and I will be working my last 3x ER24 shifts this coming weekend (all day shifts)

Private is definately a interesting side to see and work for - the paper work, is ... "I have no words" but I'll be moving to government now - way more work, way more interaction with the community, both rich and poor (private is more 'rich' if so to speak)

So from RED, I goto GREEN! :D

Well done gdiza on taking the plunge into the unknown. Well done in following your heart and doing what you are passionate about doing. Well done in taking a risk.

:)

Pretty awesome what you are doing bud! Good luck!!!

We need more people in the world like you...

Okay! So, Metro EMS have selected me and I will be going to do my AEA/ILS next month! So excited!
What makes this so awesome is that I've only been with Metro EMS for 1 month but I'm hoping that my 3 years of volunteering helped too, as well as passing the entry exam!

I need help now though guys - if you guys know of where I can get the PDF this book: Mosby's Paramedic Textbook - Revised Third Edition or even the 4th edition - I would be forever in your debt, the book is too expensive for me to buy and would help alot - if you know anyone who has a 2nd hand book, in good condition and not to expensive, I'll contact them or they can contact me.

I've placed ads on Gumtree as well as OLX.

Thanks!

Reviving a 'somewhat' old thread.

I wanted to inform you guys that today I passed my AEA/ILS!
It was a crazy 4 months, it was heavy - but the end result is that I am now a AEA/ILS for Metro EMS! :)

Good luck. I spent some time riding around with the Roodepoort fire stations ambulance guys as a scout doing community service and its great to help people. Hope it works out for you!

ah such a nice thread .... well done sir. Good paramedics are rare we need more of them. No matter how stressful it gets just keep going forward :)

How can i change my avatar btw?
