Personnaly, I am not a huge fan of sport, but I can't do without it either. I can actually do without the diski you speak of. I am on Compact because it has English Football. They can take SS4 and put it on another bouquet and replace it with SS2 or SS5/SS7 and I'd move. And I am sure a lot of people would too.

If I really want diski, I'll watch SABC1.

They're catering for a specific market segment and not everyone who buys the package will be in that segment for reasons of let's say frugality. But the majority of the people on the product will be the target market so you can't buy into it and then complain.

Yes, this is a factor, but not everyone subscribes for sports. I reckon it is more because TopTV management is useless - no PR, no marketing, no communication, no innovation, no customer service. Meanwhile DSTV is adding channels and bouquets. Yes, I am a very dissatisfied TTV subscriber but not for much longer.

The point you are missing is that MC have a monopoly on sport.

Yes, I can complain even if I buy the product because there is no choice.

There is an entire huge market that is not being catered for.

Can someone with the package please confirm whther they have accesss to ESPN or Afro Music as they not listed on the DStv site yet are available on Compact
 
I do not have ESPN anymore.

Not sure about Afro Music because I didn't even know such a channel existed.

Discovery Channel is not included. That will be the only channel i will be missing. But for a R245,00 saving I don't mind going without it. The other channels which I now don't have I did not watch anyways. So yeah thank you DScammTV for this new package.
 
As i don't watch sport.. this new package does include some channels i missed... so its a better package for me than the compact package...actually quite a few extra channels in total not listed in the article...
 
bah, I won't take any package that includes afrimagic and other crappy channels that Naspers - multichoice insist on shoving in.
 
The maximum I would pay for a first-class satellite TV service is R179 per month. Maximum I would pay for DStv Premium is R99 per month. This new offering is worth about R49 per month.
