New DSTV HD Decoder

Hmmm... I can't find the Pace one on the Pace website... can find the current Pace HD-PVR, but not the new one...

Surely if it's Extraview capable it must have RF out for "heartbeat"
 
It will definitely have RF out. That's a given. There was only that one single view, many years back, which did not have RF. Caused quite a stir in the industry. Don't think it will ever happen again, especially on the high-end decoders.

I had that kuk decoder....it failed a few weeks back....

AWG 24, but yes to the rest. It is a 10mm cable, so it is a thicker cable than the shorter HDMi cables. If you need to get it through a conduit, CAT5/6 is usually the way to go.
 
Heard the dates 24th and 27th "thrown around" as release dates in this forum post.

We we're promised stock at wholesale level by the 26th, which means it should be available by the 27th. I assume MC is planning the official launch date at 01 June 2010.

The new PVR has landed on shore... In Durban Harbour and surprise surprise, they are stuck there due to transnet strikes! Could be another 2 weeks before release

With the issues I have been having with my expensive HD PVR I don't want to imagine what issues these cheapies will have

No real differance. Different processor but you not really going to notice this, multi choice said they are made by two different suppliers so that they can negotiate more, the UEC is the newer one.
