@Seriously: If you feel they are spamming you or that they are sending you too many emails then just drop them an email or PM Esquire your email addy and ask that they unsubscribe you.

@Esquire: You might want to look at plopping a text unsubscribe link at the end of your emails as the image link does not seem to be working via eg. gmail
Edit: Not that I would want to unsubscribe. :D

for your information we love dealing with many of the MyBB members as we use this fantastic forum for our buying patterns and have brought in many new items on request of MyBB members
the HP Proliant Servers , Sharkoon , OCZ SSD , Ac Ryan Media Players , Kingston Flash drives , Asus products only to name a few
we currently have over 10 000 products in stock and have to send our email to make our clients aware of these products we do not advertise in newspapers or print media and use the email medium to reach our clients , unfortunately we cannot remove just your email address alone as we update our database every week with new applications and your email address will just reappear again once we update our records , it has happen before , so the only way is to remove your email address and delete your account so you never have to receive another email from us again

I am currently logged into the office systems as I am busy updating pricing for the week and can remove you immediately as we will be sending more specials and products info during the week so we do not want to spam you with our emails may I please have your account number and account name and email address

We are aware of this as we were using HTML 3 and will be migrating to HTML 5 once we get the format right however you can use the “ Link on the top of any specials to view it in HTML format and click on the link it works fine. Currently it is only with Gmail that we seem to be having the issue

Yep, I saw that the links in the web based newsletter is clickable. But I have no need for it in any case, was just inquiring for others that might want to click - keep on sending me them specials :D
 
Well I received a PM threat
Its possibly just a poorly phrased message attempting to alerting you to the linked mailing list and account. If it is phrased as an actual threat...bottom left corner of the PM has a report button.

10k products you say? I was at Esquire HQ recently attempting to buy the special leading this whole Arctic brand push. This one. Product isn't on the shelves. Weird. I ask the staff...they have no idea what I'm talking about. They climb onto their email system attempting to locate the current specials email. Time passes...I decide screw this I can google it in 5 seconds flat on my cellphone. I proceed to do so and show them the info on my cell. Still no luck finding it on their (slow) email system. Staff switches to their inventory system & show me a list of Arctic product. *I* scan through the list and point out their own leading special to them. Staff state/half ask that this is an AMD cooler. I tell them, no I know it works on a 3570k, which is an Intel CPU. No response. Staff ignores me attempting to help a second customer who is bitching about being kept waiting for 15 minutes. I have no quarrel with said customer so I let the me being ignored part slide.

A while later someone is dispatched to the back warehouse to locate said leading special (The short black woman doing the actual running was pretty friendly). Short black woman delivers...product in hand. I ask whether the product has a thermal pad attached. They don't know. I decide...whatever I'll just buy some thermal paste for good measure. Check the shelf...nothing. Ask the staff where the hell the paste is if not with the rest of the Arctic product...no thats at the till. Right. Proceed to till with my cold hard cash (which I specifically pulled from an ATM because of the no credit card rule)...nope they can't find my account. Proceed to HQ building...nope its been canned by CEO. A solid hour later I proceed to hop into car thinking "screw this sht I'll buy from rebeltech/wootware".

That my dear Esquire rep is the type of experience people have on the ground. Customers needing to inform sale staff about their own leading specials...

Think about that for a second...a customer walked in with cold hard cash determined to buy something and walked out thinking "screw this sht". Now I'm not a business owner, but if I were I'd be seriously freaked out by that.

You have explicitly ask us to remove you from us our database , we have mentioned to you that we cannot just remove from receiving our specials as we update our database weekly to add new registrations so the only way to remove and stop sending you our emails specials and communications was to delete your account from our system, our online ordering site and delete your email address from our database
We made the error of adding once again after we updated and you again explicitly posted on the forum that we should remove you .

Unfortunately there is no way to add your details back on our system as there is no trace of any kind as we made sure as per your request that we remove you permanently , so we do not want to make the same error three times and you do not have to post again on the forum to stop receiving our emails.

I am glad that those Online Retailers mentioned by you were able to assist you with the product you were looking for.

Regarding our products we do have over 10 000 products and many more to come over the next few months as we sign up new distribution agreements , however it is not humanly possible for all the sales people to know each and every item we have in stock , however we do have a training session with our sales people every Tuesday’s from 7am until 8am , the Arctic products you are referring to came in the night before hence the sales staff did not know the products and they were all still in the Receiving warehouse getting serialised and getting entered on to the system and were not on the shelves in the Xpress Store nor in any of the branches –I am aware of this as we have a “post mortem of the week” –every week on Saturdays with our management in different departments to discuss issues like this.

Almost all the information on 90% of our products are on our online website with Product Overview, Features and Specifications and if clients request more information on a particular product we oblige to add that information on the site which we do daily , Our Online Site may not the best of looking sites around but is the most informative site among any other distributor in the country , I know this for a fact as my team that captures get offers almost every month from other distributors trying to pouch them to update their sites. We even have many Online retailers actually plagiarising our data to add to their sites

EDIT 2 @IceQB My humble apologises for the terrible remark , I was just irate that we proved to you that there was nothing wrong with the " Smoking PSU" yet you posted on the forum and again even showed your business partner that it was still running for two days on the workbench and yet still you did not confirm that it was working as I mentioned we have sold over 1000 plus of those Cases with PSU’s and have not seen a single failure as yet as we made sure that each PSU is of excellent quality from our supplier in China and even have our team in our China office inspect the quality control and have SABS approval on them and on many of the products we import as we have got burnt many times from unscrupulous manufacturers.

That is no excuse. I won't buy from Esquire again. For a company rep, your attitude is shocking.
 
OK. So here is an "excellent" comprehensive and quality review on the "not recommended" power supply.

Seems good but "beware with high end systems" would seem to be the motto. Read the conclusion first.

Even though this power supply has four video card auxiliary connectors, it has enough flaws for us not to recommend it – even though internally it is identical to two other excellent power supplies we reviewed and recommend, The first one and most obvious is labeling the power supply with its peak power instead of labeling it with its continuous power. This is very deceiving and we couldn’t expect this from a Switzerland-based company. From our tests it is clear that Fusion RF550 is really a 500 W model. Even though we could pull up to 545 W model, this doesn’t make it a 545 W or 550 W model, because manufacturers must leave a 10-20% safety margin. Second was the thinner 20 AWG wires used, the probable cause of the +12 V output being below the minimum allowed during some tests (10.8 V while the minimum allowed is 11.4 V). Third, the absence of an EPS12V connector. This doesn’t make sense: since you can install two high-end video cards with two auxiliary power connectors each with this power supply, you will be probably using a high-end motherboard, which requires an EPS12V power connector.Fourth, the limited number of peripheral power connectors (only three) and the fact that all SATA power connectors are installed on the same cable, making it almost impossible for you to install your optical unit on the top bay if you have a tall case.On the positive side, we liked the fan power connectors coming from inside the power supply controlling the fan speeds according to the power supply internal temperature.

If it's the exact same model then be aware. Some companies seems to list it as model Arctic Fusion 550RF-EU?

Do not get me wrong. It's a good price for a good supply in general. I would buy it for that price for medium dektop systems but not for top end high spec systems. The review makes it clear why.

That was nothing. You guys must see the PM's he spammed me with, unfortunately I am not allowed to publicly make the contents known but I did report him. I had to block my PM's to get rid of the abuse.
 
Here we go again just when I thought that this thread was starting to get boring –the OP or whoever did pick up the very same unit and still has not confirmed if it is working correctly

I tend to side with the esquire rep not because I enjoy doing business with their Milnerton branch , because he has made every attempt to keep the Op in the loop on the progress on the testing of the unit

I will continue to purchase from Esquire and so does my brother in Gauteng as I have been dealing with them since they started off from that small house in Centurion while I lived with my parents in Randburg and managed to pay for my studies on products purchased from them over the years.-just my 2c comment -enuff said

Its against the rules. Your conduct here in this thread is appalling to say the least and a huge cloud over your company. I won't even be surprised if you are the CEO! As for the details, pick all those that may fit my profile and delete them as you will do them a huge favour.

Seriously have you even read the complete thread or are you posting for the sake of posting

The power supply was brought in claiming it was smoking it was tested for two days continuous and did not smoke once it was given back to the poster of the thread who has failed to report back

You accused us of spamming your email we requested from you 11 times to furnish us with your details so we can remove you immediately which you completely ignored

Making a joke about someones sexual prefrences is in my opinion grounds for getting banned. This is all about a R200 case, wouldnt it have been easier just to replace the psu or perhaps take the case back & refund? Sometimes you have to spend a dollar to make a dollar. In hindsite you saved R200 but after what was said here & the way the Esq rep acted i am sure he is loosing more than R200.

It is actually about the principal whether it is R 200 or R 20 000 , you cannot post on a public forum claiming something is wrong and when proven it is not just keep quiet about it, must we just accept the mud-sling and the abuse from poster(s) who do not have firsthand knowledge of the situation , the difference is that we chose to deal with MyBB members who are knowledgeable about hardware but expect them not to make careless remarks on a public forum and do not come back to verify the facts.

why has the Poster not come back to verify that facts he has had the Power supply since Friday

It would be a perfect world if we could all just take back items to our suppliers claiming it is faulty and get a new one without them testing

We purchase many local brands and also subjected to their testing procedures we don’t go around mud-slinging them as those companies all have policies and procedures

I have mentioned in numerous threads that we choose to give MyBB members the opportunity to purchase from us since 2009 but cannot change the rules and policies , we have a best practiced system that has worked for us in 14 years.

If a MyBB member needs more than we can offer they should deal with retails stores who make the mark up to cater for these requests we do not have the infrastructure to deal with this as we are low margin high volume driven business.

To sum it up the Case and Power supply was purchased that was brand new and sealed , the Poster of the thread claimed it was smoking we tested in front of him and it was working , he chose to leave at our premises and post on the forum , we tested the power supply for two days gave it back to his business partner who also saw it running at our premises before he left and yet not once has he confirmed that it is working,

so why must we give him a new one when it was working perfectly what are we going to do with a second hand unit – we do not have a second hand division – we always pride ourselves by selling any product that is brand new and sealed.

You abused an unhappy client with your personal remarks. You abused me via PM's for calling your e-mails spam, even after I stated I will live with the mails as long as I do not have to close the account because somehow even with modern technology it's not possible to remove me of the e-mail list without closing the account. Which is fine then as I did not know that. Then thereafter you resorted to various accusations and claims against me as well as slandering the Guptas. You also were annoyed because I posted a review about the supply, stating its cr@p..

Simply friend your representation is out of order and your conduct appalling the worst I ever witnessed from any supplier. If you work for Esquire you should be fired if you are part and parcel of Esquire you should not be in business.
