New free Yahoo email addresses

Yahoo on Thursday is tripling the size of its globally-popular free online email service by adding two new domains as options to "@yahoo.com" addresses.

I've just tried now and you can still only use @yahoo.com

Been there, done that. Why would I want to use a Yahoo account again. Lots of Spam, Cap chowing ads and no POP/IMAP.

They do support POP (paid for).
They do support IMAP (free), but it is not advertised by them because why would one pay for POP access if you can get free IMAP? .
I have my phone configured to check my Yahoo account using IMAP.
