We recently bought a new home and I was still carrying an IBurst connection around so now it's REALLY time to get ADSL... So, I applied through WebAfrica, and asked them to handle the Telkom line side of the process. I've never registered with Telkom before, and the last owners had an ADSL connection.
So WebAfrica did the telkom registration very neatly and I got a SMS from Telkom saying they will come out next week to do an installation. But seeing as the previous owner had a line connected and working, do I really need the Telkom techie to come out? I would think Telkom simply needs to give me a telephone number, complete the registration process for payments etc and I do the Model setup myself?
Any advice would be appreciated, I tried to search but got nada on the topic that helped...
