So with the car being all Aluminium, I was told by the insurance inspector that it has to go to a Jaguar specialist. They have already settled the bill with the panel beater, just waiting for the call to take the car in.
It hurts me everyday to see the Jaaaag sitting there, wounded, the dent on my Clio is absolutely nothing compared to this, with everything that has been happening I have not even followed up on the panel beaters I was contacting for my car.

Jaguar XEL – long-wheelbase saloon targets Chinese market
Roomier XE is destined for Asia and will give rear passengers more leg space and extra back seat tech
The Jaguar XEL, a long-wheelbase version of the XE, has been spotted testing in Britain ahead of its market launch in China.
The longer saloon will add around 120mm to the XE’s length to offer more space in the back – appealing to demand in China for chauffeur driven models.
Slotting beneath the larger XFL and XJL, which also target China, the XEL will add rear entertainment including screens and controls for the car’s infotainment.
There could also be an optional massage function, four-way lumber adjustment and window blinds, as seen on the XFL and XJL.
As shown by the development car, aside from the extended body there will be no major changes to the car’s design.
Due to its longer structure, the heavier XEL could drop its less powerful engines and come with a slimmed-down range. The regular XE gets turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines with up to 247bhp.
Autocar contacted Jaguar for comment on the model, but it refrained from confirming its arrival. Nevertheless, the sighting of this development car suggests it could be launched this year.
The Shanghai motor show, which takes place next month, is a possible venue for the car’s debut. Like the other long-wheelbase models, the XEL will almost certainly not make it to Britain, however, it could be offered in other markets outside China.

New Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is brand’s most powerful road model yet
Monster new super saloon, being develop by firm's Special Vehicles Operations division, features 5.0-litre V8 engine tuned for 591bhp
Jaguar has revealed the most powerful road-going car is has ever created. Called the Jaguar XE SV Project 8, it has been developed by the brand’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division as its second collectors’ edition model, following the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 from 2014.
Like the Project 7, the XE SV will be hand built at SVO’s Technical Centre in Coventry (rather than alongside regular XEs in Solihull) and it makes use of the same supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine. But in the XE SV, power has been ramped up to unprecedented levels, peaking at 591bhp - 24bhp more than aforementioned F-Type. The XE SV is all-wheel-drive, rather than being rear-driven like the Project 7, and uses a specially tuned version of its eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
Jaguar is yet to release official figures but it claims that the Project 8 is its most extreme model and will offer supercar-aping performance. This suggests it will beat the 3.5sec 0-60mph time of Jaguar’s current most accelerative road car, the all-wheel drive F-Type SVR, edging the XE SV into the realms of hardcore machinery like the Porsche 911 GT3 and ahead of fellow limited-run track special, the BMW M4 GTS.
The Project 8, pictured wearing light camouflaging, has been developed at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Jaguar is yet to confirm the specifications of the car’s chassis setup, but the modifications applied to the Project 7 XE suggest SVO’s engineers will have almost certainly fitted firmer suspension and a faster steering rack to their new machine, lowering the car to improve high-speed composure and giving the quicker responses. It sits on lightweight wheels set at a wider track, illustrated by its bulging arches.
Matching its beefed up underpinnings is a more aggressive exterior, with the XE SV gaining bespoke bodywork dominated up front by larger intakes and a spoiler on the bumper. At the back, it sports two pairs of exhaust tailpipes and the boot lid is adorned with a fixed rear wing, which generates genuine downforce. The pictures do little to reveal what modifications have been made to the cabin, but don’t be surprised to see significant weight saving measures employed here to help keep the SV’s mass down. Jaguar has remained tight-lipped on when the car will arrive, but it’s expected to make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June where it’ll likely also be driven up the hill. When the Project 8 eventually makes production, it’ll do so as a limited-run model, with just 300 units planned globally – 50 more than the Project 7 – in left-hand drive only.
This exclusivity and the fact the car is hand built will send prices soaring well above that of the regular XE range. The quickest regular XE, the XE S, starts from £48,045, so expect the Project 7 to more than double that asking price.

No Jaguar XE Sportbrake planned, says design boss
Ian Callum says the XE won't follow the XF in getting an estate option
Jaguar will not launch an XE Sportbrake, despite the recent arrival of the new XF Sportbrake, according to design director Ian Callum.
Having previously said there would not be an XF Sportbrake in the current generation, Callum admitted that the strategy had changed with the arrival of new management but that the model had a “very difficult” business case.
Callum described the market as “clearly quite challenging” but said the new XF Sportbrake is better than the previous one.
However, he said there was no chance of the smaller XE getting an estate version.
“The Sportbrake market is fairly static. From a business point of view, an XE Sportbrake is not an easy car to make happen. And it would be very challenging pricing for an XE [version].
“That market is vicious,” he added, referencing the competitiveness of the BMW 3 Series Touring and Audi A4 Avant.
Callum said Jaguar could manage the XF Sportbrake to its advantage, but the same would not apply for its smaller sibling.
The brand’s focus was currently on SUVs, he added, with the launch of the new E-Pace, which he described as “changing the landscape completely” for the car maker.
Callum would not be drawn on rumours of a third SUV sitting at the top of the SUV family, but he said if such a model were to exist, it would have its own style, referencing the differences between the F-Pace and E-Pace.

Jaguar is launching a new long-wheelbase model called the XEL into the Chinese market, where rear passenger legroom remains a priority in the executive saloon segment.
Chery Jaguar Land Rover, the partnership that produces JLR products for China, will build the model, which has a wheelbase 100mm longer than the regular XE. That extends the wheelbase to 2935mm, and the XEL provides rear passengers with additional features including an optional massage function, four-way lumbar adjustment and window blinds.
The XEL will be revealed in the metal at the Guangzhou motor show in November. When it goes on sale, it will be offered with JLR’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium turbocharged petrol engine in either 197bhp or 247bhp form.
As with the XFL, which is the long-wheelbase version of the XF produced for China, there are no plans to bring the XEL to Europe. China’s demand for saloons offering larger rear legroom is driven by the popularity for chauffeurs there and such is the scale of the market that Jaguar offers a third long wheelbase variant, the XJL.
Another major brand producing long wheelbase variants in China is Volvo. The Swedish brand launched the Volvo S90 Excellence last year with additional technical features and a rear passenger section that's unique to the model.

XE, XF and F-Pace Black Edition models get black-themed options, including painted alloys, privacy glass and styling kit
Jaguar has launched Black Edition models for the best-sellers of its range, the XE, XF and F-Pace, with optional extras included as standard.
Black Edition trim adds black alloy wheels, a Black Pack exterior styling kit, parking sensors and a reversing camera, privacy glass and metallic paint.
R-Sport models also get a heated front windscreen, heated washer jets and heated front and rear seats, features that are usually part of the optional Cold Climate Pack.
The F-Pace R-Sport Black Edition also features a panoramic roof. Jaguar claims this takes the F-Pace R-Sport Black Edition's savings to £2675 over a regular F-Pace R-Sport with the same options added.
Jaguar is offering the models as high-spec trim levels with reduced pricing; they are being offered at prices bolstered with half the value of the options fitted.
Confusingly, Black Edition cars are available not only in black, but also grey, red, white, and blue, with their name being a reference to the American tradition of 'Black Friday' discounting.
Although only available for a limited time, Black Edition models will remain on sale into 2018 and are not limited by number. There are no plans for an E-Pace Black Edition.
