Both? Unlike most Windows laptops you can actually use this trackpad. But the mouse I have is a Logitech MX3 and it works perfectly.

Install Mac Mouse Fix, better scrolling control and some more stuff you can do with the buttons, ie double click the scrolling wheel to switch left or right between desktops etc. Free little utility.

To me it’s clear you are a lost cause when you take the AI as gospel…especially when half of it doesn’t even make sense.
 
My niece (35 yo) was ‘forced’ to switch to a Mac when she started her new job.

After 3 days she visited me in tears and desperation- it just didn’t work the way she was used to. I spent 10 minutes adjusting a few things to fit in with her muscle memory a bit better, ‘fixed’ the trackpad click and scroll settings, and took her external mouse hostage (lol - I promised that if she didn’t adjust to the trackpad within a week I’d return the mouse).

She hasn’t looked back since and you’d have to pry her beloved new baby from her cold dead hands

Oh, the mouse is still lying in the bottom of a drawer somewhere

Find a longtime Mac user to help you transition and give it time.
Cutting your d!ck off, then having to dialate daily is certainly an appropriate metaphor for how easy to use MacOS is.
 
@OP. If you want to use Windows on your Mac, I can highly recommend using UTM, which is free virtualisation software using Apple's Hypervisor framework.

I've been using a Macbook for the past 3 days. I must say I hate it.

Three reasons so far why I hate it:
1. Mouse scroll wheel is inertia based. When I scroll the wheel slowly the page scrolls incredibly slowly. This is not the case on windows.
2. Shortcuts for cut, copy and paste. The command key is literally next to the C and X key. Making it very difficult to execute with one hand.
3. Uninstalling a program is a nightmare. You have to search for all related files yourself.

I'm sure to find more. Here's another Notepad++ which is one of my favourite programs is not available on Mac. And I cant find a suitable alternative.

How many of you are running Windows on your Macs?
1. You bought a mac, and wasted good money on it.
2. Get a Logitech Mouse, they work with Macs. Way better. The Logitech MX mice especially. M705 is good.

Which brings me to what will now be the most hated backlash by Mac Users.

If MAC OSX is so great, why do many try install Windows on it? Surely its crap then?

But which PC were you planning to replace. There are PCs and there are workstations, you shouldve gotten a workstation insteal ie Dell Precision, HP Z. One of those. Running a decent FireGL or Nvidia Quadro card. You just cant do decent 3d work on a normal laptop. Wont work. You will have plenty of Coffee time if you tried.

I grew up with Macs and Windows side by side (2 seperate machines, yip from the Apple Mac 2, to Macintosh and so on). And quite honestly other than multimedia, I dont see much use for a Mac. Its always been a Graphics designer type of Machine. For Office work I prefer a PC, because too much effort to get everything to be supported. Unless....

All your stuff is now in the AWS Cloud, and you log into an Amazon Workspace, and then you can really run even a lowly Celeron which wont have much effect on your speed.
