New Macbooks launched

A wise macboy, or at least macdaddy by now once told me never buy a 1st generation of anything mac, wait until the second generation when all the bugs are ironed out.

I have a few mac's and I find this especially true in South Africa were the support is a little lacking.

I also live by that rule. Rev B is the one for me :D

One reason why I will never be an Apple convert again. You buy a Mac last year, you are obsolete this year and your bank account is still sitting with a huge dent.
Ja. I learned my lesson with the 1989 170 Powerbook and once bitten, forever shy. Dell FWIW.

Hardly - my current macbook pro is 18+months old and I still cant justify an upgrade on the grounds of obsolesce.

A 1989 Powerbook is nothing to judge today's Apple by. There has been a noticeable increase in quality since Jobs returned.

Funny you mention Dell - years ago M Dell said Apple should shut up shop and sell everything off and today they could buy Dell. :)

Still the best advice ever given.;) One day Apple will wish they took it.
And Ja. You sitting with an 18 month old macbook whose "cool" factor has worn right off and you find yourself justifying why you don't need upgrades all while out of the corner of your spectacles you are enviously peeking at all the new eye candy, probably swearing under your breath too.

Say what?

that's just a retarded statement, even though I hate mac it's evident that their is still a ever growing demand for apple products.

The new Apples look very nice, especially the trackpad. My only problem with Mac is...
1. Where is right click?
2. Mac supporters ;)

1:
The right click has been there for ages, that mighty mouse(which I have and dislike) has 4 configurable buttons on the mac.

2:
That site is satirical, people who use it to defend their arguments just end up making a bigger *** of themselves.

Didn't know, my mouse works perfectly on my virus infected Windows.
