New mouse !

i currently have wireless :) can't say ive ever noticed slower input ? just it is quite heavy :)

eish, so many conflicting views here :) i think i would rather get the Roccat with all its extras over a logitech at the same price...

But what if that thought would change after a few weeks/months of buying the wrong mouse... ;)

Did you check out the RAT 9?

Getting a real live mouse and shoving a usb cable up its arse making connections with nerve endings would probably get you a better mouse than that awfully terrible abomination called Roccat.

so im guessing its a no go on that Roccat ! dam, thought it would be cool.

Benchmark reviews
Final Score: 9.1 out of 10.

Legit Bottom Line: Overall, the Gigabyte GHOST M8000X Gaming Mouse is easily the best mouse I have used to date. From features to aesthetics and to feel and comfort, it cannot be beat at $60.
Legit reviews

When it comes to down to tally up the positive and negative attributes of the GM-M8000 Xtreme, one thing has become abundantly clear to us: it is one great product. We really were a little hesitant to review this mouse as we have found very few “sequels” that even came close to their originals. Luckily, the Xtreme is the exception to this informal rule of thumb as it is not only as good as the original but actually surpasses its predecessor. While each version of the GHOST series has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, we tend to prefer the feel, power and ease of use that the M8000X has to offer.
Hardware Canucks

Do yourself a favor and get this mouse. It is really an amazing product extremely accurate and easy to use. Plus, it comes in at R600, well, just below, which was in your original budget.

Buy it now!

The Mamba has more than 4 hours of battery life PP, stop spreading anti-Razer propaganda ! :p

Seriously, go for the Deathadder. Can't go wrong with it, none of these fancy blue light things everyone is recommending.

Ok... so from the deductions.

Its the
-Rat 9
-Gigabyte m8000x
-Razer deathadder
-logitech mx or g series

sigh :p

WTF. Did they try to build a mouse or a Transformer?

A rat! :)

Basically everyone says it's the best mouse they've ever owned... Not that they'd slate their purchase, but it makes sense since everything is adjustable. ;)

When they bring out one that is wired AND wireless, I'll definitely buy one.

I have the rat 7 and it is the best mouse I have used.

Can highly recommend one :)

I have this mouse and it SERIOUSLY kicks ass. fluck the rest and get yourself this.

It has 27 different LED colors, weights, looks awesome, has tons of Macro Script Configuration, 5 User profiles (which changes the color of the pulsing "Ghost Logo") and above all Feels GREAT!

The quality is exceptional - even the cable is made from this woven type thing, instead of plastic.

The mousewheel that can click left and right is also handy, along with the dpi switch.

I got the Gigabyte Aivia K8100 Ghost gaming series Keyboard and mousepad as well, which completes and complements the set perfectly. (KB is around R800)

The Rat mouse looks like its built from lego, the razer is just boring, and the logitech just looks plain uncomfortable. The Ghost looks stylish, feels awesome and has tons of features - you cant go wrong!

But does it do wireless?

Most decent mouses have the features you speak of.

Thing is, any of these mouses mentioned in this thread are a huge upgrade from normal mouses. All are very good.

My question is, what did you use before, and what have you used before to compare with the Ghost?

Most guys who buy the RATs have used plenty of other gaming mouses, so I think them saying the RATs are the best mouses they've used is quite objective.

I didn't say the rat was bad, I said it looks like its built from technics lego

Wireless mouse aren't all that they are cracked up to be.
I have used plenty of mice before, including the nice Logitech ones, which are also great

This thing though, just feels better. I think comfort is the most important thing - the lights, weights, macros, dpi and buttons are just there to get it to perform exactly how you want it.

but besides all that, it looks awesome too.

plus you get an extra 2 pieces of that plastic protectors at the bottom, so it's guaranteed to last you a long time!

I got it for R750 though - If you can get it for R600 that's even a better bargain!
