Still CellC Supacharge is the best, lots of free minutes and data. Cheap international calls.

To Cell C only, subject to time limit. You waste your time keeping your eye on all this stuff you don't need. And Cell C force customers to constant recharging, otherwise they won't be able to make calls (even still having airtime they paid for).

It is a real offer. Regarding international rates, it must be reviewed individually. To my destignation MTN charges me 99c/pm and all others much more (including Cell C). And international calls are billed per second from the beginning, unlike Telkom Mobile which charges for the first minute.

You raise a valid point. I think the operators understand that data is the new money maker for them so they don't mind too much to give voice away for cheap. Note that MTN still charges 99c for a meg of data which is exorbitant. The same thing happened to SMS. They used to milk the consumers with SMS rates of up to 80c a SMS. Now it's pretty much for free especially on contracts.

Contract customers pay a R2/MB out of bundle rate! I found out the hard way!

Agreed contract customers are getting shafted! So what will MTN do for us? I will not be going on contract anymore, can't see any value in been tied down to exorbitant rates.

I recently migrated from an Anytime 750 Contract to prepaid. The 79c/min was attractive and this is even more so. As a business user, I was put off by the clause that users "shall have access to voicemail lite". But I phoned 173 and can confirm that one still has access to standard voicemail. So I've just dialed *141*4*5# on my and my wife's phones and will now enjoy 1c/sec while the promo lasts.

The data charge of 99c/MB is irrelevant to those buying bundles, so no concern there. Those complaining of the cost of sms, ATM they are a "necessary" evil due to their legacy popularity and reliability, but "cheap" sms bundles can lighten that load a lot too.

Yes you can call 141 ten select option 9 then option 1 and choose MTN Voicemail or Voice Mail Xpress. Both can have voice messages left for you and record greetings.

MTN extended this until 30 November. Hope they make it permanent.... The 60c per minute is pretty cool. Also the wow bonus makes on net calls basically free for the rest of the day if you used the amount need for the wow bonus.
