New Openview decoder with video streaming support

How is this a "dawn of a new era"..?

You are second to market with this type of decoder, years after your competition...
 
This will be a good option if it can do 3rd party content and recorded media. Might get one instead of a media box.
 
You gotta wonder what the "brainstrust" at this company is. Just slightly better than Starsat but way behind everything in this media space.
 
could be an insurance policy against that rugby world cup thing where the SABC got broadcast rights from DSTV but restricted to not broadcast via satellite (i.e. Openview)

maybe next time it just uses the WiFi connection to stream it instead ...
 
Everything seems to be via the Internet these days. Linear vs online.
 
Decoders and satellite dishes belong in museums.

I guess our decoders that we bought to replace the ones they phased out that we bought to replace the first ones that we bought when we signed up will now stop working .. so we will have to make another "once off" decoder purchase that they so vehemently go on about, which will be the 4th once off decoder purchase.

I agree - a total rip-off. I got fed up with all of their "once off" decoder fees a long time ago. They should at least offer an upgrade "trade-in" discount.
 
See if you can buy the decoder from their website. Good luck with that.
