New PC Build

Thanks for all the help. I got most of my suff today. Just waiting on the post for my CPU.

I did not order a new case as everything fits in my old one and it still looks good.

I see you get a ssd m.2... Where do you plug this small ssd in on the following board?

It slots in there between the PCIe socket and CPU socket. You get a little standoff and screw that you put in to the correct hole on the motherboard (depending on the size of the m.2 drive).

Ooooooh....Thanks

So the standoff screw and 3 holes. But could not see that it slots into place.

Must say that the CPU cooler is HUGE! It just fits in my case. The old one looks like a toy against it.

Possible to fit another fan to it?

Look at it from the top, both sides look the same based on pics from the net so it should be possible. Think the fan attaches with rubber bungies.

I see that gtx 1060 has no plug for a vga screen. What now?

I have not seen a modern gaming gpu with vga for some time now and the DVI ports no longer carry the analogue vga signals either.

You'll need an active converter or new monitor.

I see you get this converter.
Will it work? Last thing I want now is a new monitor.

Everything is working including the adaptor.....but Windows 10 does not want to load.

It says there is something wrong and also dont want to restore to a restore point.

I'm no fundi but I suppose I will have to find my old Windows 7 and install that or buy a copy of Windows 10. Any ideas?
