Everything is working including the adaptor.....but Windows 10 does not want to load.

It says there is something wrong and also dont want to restore to a restore point.

I'm no fundi but I suppose I will have to find my old Windows 7 and install that or buy a copy of Windows 10. Any ideas?

Gonna need a bit more info than that.

If push comes to shove you can always install win7 and upgrade to win10 (yes you can still do that).

If you've got 10 on the boot drive, then you'll have to do a clean install of 7. Then yes, unless you've backed everything up, you're going to lose it.

I just did a install from boot to get into windows. It works but is very slow and I can't find some of my documents.

They may be in the old windows folder???

If I can get that documents and photos backed up I will format the drive and install windows 7.

Is fornatting the drive the right thing to do?

Burn Ubuntu to a disc, boot off it and use the "try it out" option.
Download link, pick the 64 bit option.

Thanks for all the help. I installed Win 7 and then moved all my photos and documents to external.

Busy downloading Win 10 now.

Pc is running like a dream.
