New priorities for Ubuntu Linux?

Not a fanboi but i have Ubuntu 10.04 installed and everything works out of the box. So what can i complain about?
UbuntuOne works for me but i have to add that i only sync files in one directory and not any of the other things or music.

This is how i think Ubuntu can improve: What does a person do when something doesn't work? You have hardware that doesn't work? In windows it is as simple as downloading the driver, installing it and all is well with the world. Not in Ubuntu... that is what they need, an easy way to get ALL your hardware working.

Silly BS codes that dont mean anything to a noob needs to go out the nearest window, what i mean by this is the following: How often do you run an ubuntu program that uses your hardware lets say your capture device... it usually has an option that says "which device to use?" then a text box where you type something STUPID like /usb015/dev/#vid/a5 ....... WTF WTF WTF WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loose the sheat and realise you're working with PEOPLE! Whats so bloody wrong with detecting and giving the user a drop down box with useble names like "Microsoft Webcam500"?

IMO the main things that Ubuntu developers needs to focus on:
  1. PC Gaming - It is a huge selling point. OpenGL games that works out the box without the driver problems
  2. A proper alternative to MS Office( OpenOffice does seem to get better but still way behind)
  3. UI - It needs to be easy. Just look at what Apple can achieve with it's wonderful UIs

UbuntuOne still does not work behind a proxy/firewall, making it useless to me and many others I'm sure. How something as trivial as this can persist release after release puzzles me.

All these comments give me a warm feeling about my decision not to try Ubuntu/Linux.

It's a matter of using the best tool for the job, coupled with personal preference. There is no perfect operating system -- each one has its own set of "problems".
