Dont buy a SSD, they are really a huge waste if money and in this day and age you can't afford to waste money.

EDIT: I bought a I5 2500k, 16GB DDR3 1600mHz and a Asus P8Z68-M Pro for only R4500 (NEW) from www.loot.co.za so I think it wont be more than 15K if you do some looking first.

Evetech's PC's aren't bad at all, but you can do just so much better if you build up something yourself from wootware or rebeltech's websites.

With a budget of R20k, you should be able to fit in a 128GB SSD. It isn't a necessity, but it would make your PC feel a lot faster in general.
You can rather opt for a cheaper/different brand motherboard and a SSD than for a high-end motherboard and no SSD. Like ASRock offers really good value for money motherboards at this moment! Eg. ASRock Z77 Pro 4 for like R1350.

There is a place and time for high-end motherboards - like when you're going for a SLI/CrossFire setup or want to overclock your CPU to 5GHz...

Thats a low blow dude, by the way ASRock motherboards are rubbish ,same as biostar every body should know that. Stick with Asus,Gigabit,EVGA intel and EFI

ASRock motherboards definitely aren't rubbish. Currently they offer really good value for money.

Based on that statement, yes, no-one should follow your advice to the letter. Asrock are bigger and better than they were even back in the day. And Biostar today makes some of the best AMD-based motherboards on the planet, when they get the right engineering team on it. The only board manufacturers today that are rubbish (design and implementation-wise) are actually MSI and Foxcon/Intel - both so far behind the curve its not even funny.

For twenty grand, here's what I would do:

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H @ R1916 (best overclocking motherboard on the planet right now)

I'd like to point out the headphones in particular. I'm deaf in the right and left ears, with the right completely dead and the left struggling in certain pitches as well as in overall volume. Those earphones sound like music making love to my ears. The screen I recommended is also an IPS panel, better than the run of the mill monitors in the same price point that use TN panels. In use the colours are far better and the viewing angles really help when you're showing one or five friends something that they should see. The 8ms response time doesn't affect things at all and its a good buy overall.

You see this is quite tempting but how does GTX660Ti perform and in SLI aswell wrt temps?

Just get a 670 for now a good overclocked version should be awesome like a kfa2 or an evga ftw edition, I would suggest an MSI gtx 670 power edition but not anymore seeing that mine is going through a RMA at the moment. Also an overclocked 670 should get you near stock 680 performance, my msi 670 was hittiin battlefield 3 maxed out at +- 117 fps with a minimum fps around 50 in the intense bits the 670 is a crazy card the memory bus on the 660 ti is a bit of a concern 192 bit is sufficient but when games like crysis 3 and the like pitch up then you might feel abit of a performance pinch. plus if you decide on dropping in another 670 in the future ud be dam near the performance of a 690.
 
I would suggest a Gigabyte GTX 670 OC (wind-force edition). Got one myself and as Avid-Dreamer said, performance is no issue with any games out in the wild at this moment, probably wont be for the next year or 2 but when you do feel the need just add another 670 and BOOM. 660 is a good card but upgrade options are limited if you do SLI straight away.

•Headphones: Logitech G35 are good (I have the Asus Xonar Xense / Sennheiser PC 350 combo)


•SSD: OCZ Vertex FTW ( I am using 256gig Vertex 4 + 120 gig Vertex 3)

I second the Gigabyte GTX 670 OC, mine came stock 1098(boost to 1200)/1652, whisper quiet, max 66deg with the heater right next to it, max fan was 41%.
Do it! It chews threw games with reckless abandon.

When it comes to SSD drives - OCZ or Corsair?I was looking at OCZ AGT3-25SAT3-120G Agility 3 Series 2.5" 120GB SATA3 SSD.Is it any good?
