New Router Problems

I recently bought a Tenda D301 v2 ADSL router to replace our old D-Link router. Since installing it, I've encountered a problem. Any form of upload (even just sending a PDF over WhatsApp) completely annihilates the line. So much so that I can't even open up a Web page. Even though it's an ADSL line, I've never experienced this problem (to such an extent) using the previous router.

I was wondering if there's perhaps settings on the router interface I can adjust to try and fix this.

Any help would be appreciated.

That's normal considering ADSL upload and download speeds aren't symmetrical. I experience the same issue whenever someone has to upload something.
You could check on your new modem for a setting called 'Bandwidth control' and reduce the upload speed to perhaps half of what it currently is.

That's interesting! I have seen the same issue on a D-Link DSL-2750U before. What router did you use prior to the Tenda?

By the way, what VDSL/ADSL package (or line speed) do you subscribe to?
