its not my methology, i am just stating how it all worked out.

lets say you working on an emulator, another team is too. you read on their forum they are having a bug with the AIP system. this particular bug you faced last month and fixed. are you not gonna post there and give them a hint on how to fix it ? ofcourse you are, and in return they might help you down the road when you get stuck on something they got working.

that is criss cross development, and its something the WoW scene lacked big time. everyone was to busy stealing and hacking each other that they delayed emulator completion by many many months.

Well that's why there is hundreds of bastardized forks out there. It was amusing how the scene got pissy when acent emu stopped please updates. i lol'd. Either way i prefer game dev from scratch, not building a house on top of some else s engine/graphics/content etc..

hopefully it's better than WDDG because that was a POS. :D (Luckilly - otherwise I would of probably wasted years, playing the real WoW)
 
Really impressed you guys are organising yourselves to get this going, sounds very interesting.

I just hope it's an MMO I'll enjoy, and not some ancient one with no new development.

Are you talking development emulator side, or you mean old game in general in its dying stages ?

The game is quite fresh, there is a whole history behind it that i wont go into detail, but I must say emulator development has slowed to a crawl over the last few months, but its understandable since the bug list is growing very short and more difficult ( most bugs left are the ones known for a while and hard to fix ) and this year started really CRAP !!! , the economy and everyone being broke and not having much time to work on free projects etc, it all adds up. but its still very much active at the same time, you will allways have a few dedicated souls who will spend their every free minute finnishing a project...

Thnx for the compliment, nice not to be flamed for a change. But there is still ALOT to do, and time is not on our side.
