New S.A MMORPG server.

I always like make my own Logos, wallpapers using photoshop and paintshop (as a hobby)

If you want to, I can help make Logos ect.. For the game.

(btw, I'm still on school, and will will mainly only have time on the weekends ( If I'm not Surfing or have to study :D)

But using computers and designing stuff is a few off my passions. When I leave school, I will most likely study computer science/Programming.

Iv'e learned long ago never to underestimate a young mind, they often see things from outside the box that no one else even notices is there.

Logo's, banners etc is stuff we still need to look at, there is definitely a spot open for someone to do all that, i'll add you to my list.

Once the forum goes live everything else will fall into place. I just recieved my website details and have forwarded it to our web design guy, it's just up to him now to get the forum going.

Thriel, ill be up for beta testing if needed, im useless with gfx design and stuff so i cant apply there :p I've played 9Dragons, wow, anarchy online, lotr so ya.. if you need beta testers gimme a shout. Looking forward to this and hopefully its a nice game :) good luck man
 
My main priority is getting our website online. i am busy working on our launcher/Patch module and that is dependant on the website, also need the forum so beta testers can post bug reports. once that is up and running i can upload the client for everyone to download. I will post all the info here once everything is done, i am hoping it will be next week sometime, lets just hope all goes smooth, but keep murphy's law in mind ...

once website is active you can sign up for beta testing there. there will be limited amount of accounts availible so you will want to get in early :)

I am sure you'll love the game.

O, forgot to mention, the client is somewhere around 700MB to 1GB, will see how much i can compress it. you might want to save your bandwitdh for the download, it is already patched to newest version so its a once off download for the time being. luckily it is a local download :)

I have also done some conversions to make the client work on windows vista as well as windows 7, so everyone can play :)

Btw. Blame the girlfriend for screwing things up, she's the one who wants to visit her family in cape town this weekend, thats 4 days waisted that i could have been more productive :(

Does it allways take so long for a new domain to become active ? I registered the domain yesterday, they sent me the cpl details last night, but domain is not online yet :(

O, and on a better note, did some work last night on the Server/DB, got it down to 43MB ram usage after world and all server side files are loaded :p

I read with fascination and anticipation all 94 post's !! Good luck with this new venture and I will def be on the lookout for the launch !! I think its awesome and a sign of things to come that local is truly becoming lekka !!

If it's eve-online they might as well stop now as it would be illegal CCP is very protective over there baby and for good reason besides eve-online runs perfectly well from SA.

CCP has a single server for the world ... except the chinese I think have there own server.

From what Thriel has said it sounds more like an RPG (ie: Armor, weapons etc)

Thank you sparty, I hope it lives up to expectations, and i hope that we open the doors for local online gaming in S.A, its something this country needs badly.
