At 4:20pm today I was on a TELKOM faster package (512) phone to migrate to fastest(sic) package at 4:21pm and at 5:19pm migration was complete

and I just remembered how fast you can "burn" a 1Gb TELKOM account on local and international traffic International is now dead and I ahve already downloaded 2.5Gb of local traffic (since 5:30pm today) 
and it was a fresh account!
1.691Gb down and 1.2Gb up as of 2min ago!

Took my router (WR105, some kind of power surge fault) back to telkom in canal walk and had it swopped out for a billion in two minutes flat on saturday 02-08-08.
Quite cool since it was the end of the month.

i wonder if telkom is starting to feel the pinch from neotel??? If they are..... it will make it interesting!!!
I've had line speed switches done in the past while taking to the person on the phone.
Try get a problem solved, if that gets done quickly then you got something to shout about, remember what you did involves telkom making more money.
Heh a3dm86 those suck so bad just swap em without question, I knew someone who didnt even have to give a reason, just said "not working properly" and they swapped it for a billion.

I realise the wording can be read different ways.I had the same thing last week. I phoned to upgrade to the 4Mb line, and within 5 minutes my line synched at the higher speed.
Now if only they could somehow inform their other departments of these changes. When I did this the previous time, a technician called me two weeks later to inform me that the line has now been upgraded.
Yesterday I also received a call from a company doing quality check surveys on behalf of Telkom. They asked a lot of questions regarding the upgrade and how satisfied I am with Telkom's service.
Now if only they could somehow inform their other departments of these changes. When I did this the previous time, a technician called me two weeks later to inform me that the line has now been upgraded.
Yesterday I also received a call from a company doing quality check surveys on behalf of Telkom. They asked a lot of questions regarding the upgrade and how satisfied I am with Telkom's service.

I'm loving my 4mb line. Using speedtest.net I got a download speed of 3570 the other day, a record for me.
