1000 is overkill as wellPower supply is overkill unless you want a 5090 or more... get that down, 1000W max is more than enough.
3060 graphics card is a no for me, I run a 3060Ti and it's great and way better than a 3060... and mine is old now. A 5060Ti would be a little more expensive and you'd get another 20fps over a 3060... .always go for the "Ti" just pay it... I think you're looking at about R1,000 more or so.
32GB RAM is overkill, just get 16GB for now, you can always upgrade later.
The overriding factor is ALWAYS the graphics card...
You can always try Carbonite if you want to buy second hand, they are very good and great deals all the time.
Until you run your non-fps/esport titles32GB RAM is overkill, just get 16GB for now, you can always upgrade later.
Until you run your non-fps/esport titlesOpenworld/sim/rts games eat well into the 20gb+ usage. Even modern fps games want more than 16gb to not be a stuttery mess.
I would take the B580 over the 5060 8GB tbhSurprised nobody mentioned the Arc B580 gfx card. Cheaper and 12gb Vram also a better performer in -almost- all games and little to no cpu overhead since he's going for a 9600x cpu .. the 3060's are moeg, let them retire.
Since he's building it himself that tells me he can adjust the oddball game that the Intel Arc might have a minor hiccup with.
If he's dead set on team green though, would be better to save a bit more (or help him out) to get a newer 12gb or higher nvidia card.
Wouldnt suggest going lower than a 7700XT if going Amd gfx. Second hand, a 6700xt still performs extremely well.
Yeah over any 8gb 60 series. I mean my 3070ti was starting to have hiccups at 1440p and that card would still be a beast if it had 16gb or even 12.I would take the B580 over the 5060 8GB tbh
cool. would've preffered not to buy a new monitor now but heck Eskom JMSP. would like to get oled if it wasn't for the burn in and the amount of care you need to do to keep it from burn in. Isuppose can't go wrong with the mini LED anyway.Yeah wootvision is great, cant go wrong
Incorrect.I'm running RDR2 and Starfield on a 40" screen and it's perfect... there is absolutely no stuttering, neither that or Fortnite etc. 16GB is more than perfect.
So why not claim power surge under insurance for something in the R12k range what the ASUS was worth? Or you want to pocket the R5k balance?ok so thanks Eskom my pg279q broke and yes i tried 3 different 19v power supplies and nothing. So looking to get something that will be an upgrade what do you guys suggest? I'm looking at the following monitor. GPU = 3080 ti
Incorrect.
Try again when you have enough RAM to think properly.
A lot of insurance has clauses against power surgeSo why not claim power surge under insurance for something in the R12k range what the ASUS was worth? Or you want to pocket the R5k balance?
If you give your insurer the R7k replacement quote they are only going to give you R7k and you'll forfeit that balance.
Nah most of them have no issue at all. Its one of the most common small property claims. Its an insured peril. You just have to proof you did what you could from your side, so just show a protector plug and so.A lot of insurance has clauses against power surge
I thought that's a pregnancy kit.
It's not about gaining FPS, it's about preventing a loss of FPS. Modern games are hungry for any and all forms of memory they can get their hands on. You're talking about a game that was originally designed for a console (Xbox One) with 8GB of DDR3 RAM. Please don't use that as a benchmark for anything, ever, except for the fantastic quality games can potentially achieve.so are you saying I'm not playing RDR2 on a 40" screen with a 3060ti and a PC with 16GB of ram? the game runs 100% perfect in 1440 with no stuttering nothing
for heavens sake if I added another 16GB ram my framerate "might" at most go up by 2fps.... you wouldn't even notice it, actually it would be physically impossible
aye, aye, aye, aye....
