Ouch, that sucks
Check other places, it was actually cheaper elsewhere.Yeah, might have to help him a little.

Indeed the Frozn is an even better choice. You're going to pay R600 more for 6 degrees difference on a 200w system? Plus that was the 1 fan model

If you want to change it
This offers better performance on the Fuma 3.![]()

Nx410 v2 is good, very nice case to work in and has "door opening" type of side panel.AX85 currently out of stock
Any other good cases with good air flow ... , if need be, I will chip in a bit for the Kid.
Will probably order the weekend.
Give him time to change his mind, but I think he is settling on this build.

That does look pretty nice actuallyNx410 v2 is good, very nice case to work in and has "door opening" type of side panel.
That is a micro atx case, but also a nice choice.Or the Montech 100 for full black an extra fan and fan hub already mounted - https://www.wootware.co.za/montech-...9LjSsB-3IpbRjKbFJl6n2Fbbn4g9vuxerS8yCLR1OlLTo
Yeah he picked an MITX mobo. That is a micro atx case, but also a nice choice.
I saw so, but just putting it out there. Micro ATX cases are a little tight to work on. Though if he gets Wootware to build it, who caresYeah he picked an MITX mobo.
Surprised nobody mentioned the Arc B580 gfx card. Cheaper and 12gb Vram also a better performer in -almost- all games and little to no cpu overhead since he's going for a 9600x cpu .. the 3060's are moeg, let them retireHi,
Foster Son is building a System for himself with his savings, this one is a little over budget but can do.
Can he make improvements without increasing cost, or can he shave a little of of those costs?
Proposed system
Original was a 3060 ti to fit in a 1300w power supply which was 1600 overkillHe is getting the 5060 Ti 16Gb isn't he?
Which is a good choice because he is going to need MFG when UE6 hits in just 2 years.
ASRock motherboards have become the graveyard of Ryzen 9000 CPUs. While motherboards from other vendors also killed some, there is no competition to ASRock boards, which have now killed nearly 200 CPUs, if we go by the reported cases. Such incidents are likely to be much higher if we could consider non-reported cases as well.

32gb is min almost these if want chrome open and a game, chrome just so hungry for ram.Power supply is overkill unless you want a 5090 or more... get that down, 1000W max is more than enough.
3060 graphics card is a no for me, I run a 3060Ti and it's great and way better than a 3060... and mine is old now. A 5060Ti would be a little more expensive and you'd get another 20fps over a 3060... .always go for the "Ti" just pay it... I think you're looking at about R1,000 more or so.
32GB RAM is overkill, just get 16GB for now, you can always upgrade later.
The overriding factor is ALWAYS the graphics card...
You can always try Carbonite if you want to buy second hand, they are very good and great deals all the time.
