New The PC Build Thread

Ran out of memory sigh lol 64 gig modules need, blender is a resource hog. But it is waaaay more stable. Tried my 3d mesh painting app it is performing way better. It seems 32gig ram still isn't enough.... :(
Yea even my wife that only does office work uses 64gb now

Multi tasks

Yes with 32gb the stuff she isn't currently working on gets moved to swap space and slows down the flow

Cached portion matters not just in use many miss/ignore that second line when checking ram usage

With hers it was always to the max with literally nothng free

So opening anything new would mean it would have to wait for a swap transaction to free up some ram

Um, ecc ddr4 is kinda cheap if you go 2nd hand.. lots on BoB. 32gb modules hover around R500 or less

Temu sells RAM??

Anyone bought any? What's the performace and lifespan like?
They sell motherboards as well, plus SSDs. So yeah they sell RAM, I was tempted to buy some with a cheap B550, I've got a 4650G laying around to test.

Sounds like a solid plan. Can't go wrong.
It is a Soyo motherboard which is the entry entry level Maxsun board, but it looks pretty :-), plus 32GB of RAM for just over a grand, not sure on what the tax would be though.

Normally on electronics it is just the vat that is payable

If framed correctly

Just pulled the trigger on it, basically used ebucks

Even for motherboards and ram? Interesting, though 2k feels like a lot on temu
Yea from past experience all electronics is vat only

Bought on ebay 2 laptops and 2 gpu over spannof few years and 100's of tablets and always just vat

And naturally the handling fee
Of whoever submit the sad500
Not lll couriers charge the same postboffice used to be kike R45 to do that and courier companies varied

No idea on temu parcels
Haven't imported anything the last couple of years

Yes but also depends on how customs feels on the day lol
Yea my first order i paid importers tax

Essentially every item has to be framed with its comodity code

They just framed everything by the first item that wasn't electronics

So yea you gotta double check and get it sorted before you pay cause getting a refund won't be a breeze

It's just the motherboard and ram nothing else
