It is an ADATA XPG price lock-in promo. I don't know what their consignment is like, and how much it involves ADATA since I have seen XPG memory module prices skryrocked like G.Skill's.

It was also only 30 kits at R3299 from 12am, I wouldn't call it cheap, but sure it's RAM that they held back. Most kits would have been sold by 6am regardless.Aaaah
On the Evetech app there is a Ryzen 5 8400F PRO/MSI B650M/16GB DDR5-5600 upgrade kit for R5500. And it comes with a 240mm liquid cooler.Within the last 2 weeks where RAM prices have gone up 200% cheapest and only R5 kit on Progenix for AM5 is R9499 for a 7600 and 16gb.
Cheapest Evetech one is R7999 for a 7400 and 16gb of RAM
Doubt there will be any decent bf deals

Not a bad proposition IMHO as it gets your foot in the door with AM5
Definitely some concessions with this, like only having 1x stick of RAM like you said and only two slots on the board, but I suppose as a starting point, I guess it's not too bad.
On the website.
So the app deal really is good, old prices by the looks of it, plus the app deal is only 1 stick of RAM which is never a good idea for AMD
Found it on the website

AMD Ryzen 7 8700F Upgrade Kit — B650M-P, DDR5-5600
Upgrade to AMD Ryzen 7 8700F with MSI B650M-P and 16GB DDR5-5600 RAM. High single-thread boost to 5.0GHz for gaming, streaming, and content creation. Discrete GPU required.www.evetech.co.za
Budget board and amd cpu, no point going above 6000mt/s anyway unless you plan to replace the board and cpu tooDefinitely some concessions with this, like only having 1x stick of RAM like you said and only two slots on the board, but I suppose as a starting point, I guess it's not too bad.
I see you can up it to 32GB DDR5-7200 but that basically doubles the price![]()
What is it with people wanting 4 ram slots. AM5 CPU, perform slightly worse with 4 ram slots, there is an extra tax on the memory controller which degrades performance. Considering ram capacity these days, ignoring the price increases 32gig ram is plenty and will be for a good while more. Most dual slot motherboards support up to 128gig memory anyways.Definitely some concessions with this, like only having 1x stick of RAM like you said and only two slots on the board, but I suppose as a starting point, I guess it's not too bad.

With the exception of not having pcie 5.0 support, chip set performance is it worth mentioning. The days where higher end chipset has better performance is LONG gone. This board supports up to 6800mz with expo, regardless of CPU it would be a considerable bump in performance, yes this CPU does have a smaller L3 cache, but really no one is going to pair a CPU with a 5090 anyways. It is a perfectly well suited CPU to 9060xt or 5070.Budget board and amd cpu, no point going above 6000mt/s anyway unless you plan to replace the board and cpu too![]()
You can drop the condescension, message counts don’t prove anything except that people participate. If anything, it shows I actually help instead of tossing out smug one-liners.Good on you for going over a thousand messages. Good job sir, noddy badge for you.
smol edit: good thing you dont also live on reddit, you might have been crying in the corner for most of those years then.
Cant expect to buy everyone that posts a nice garage pie and hold their hand and copy/paste why they shouldnt buy this or do that or cry there or fight this.
The forum has a search function, can be used to look up results regarding what the poster is looking for.
Google has even more results as to why amd doesnt need faster than 6000, or heck even uses faster than 6000mt/s ram without its niggly issues/results/stability, unless you plan to drop a few kidneys into your build.
Now if you're really daring, try using bing for results.
guess thats a +1 to positive for your noddy badge and what, +1 negative, making it 1142 negative according to you.

Hey guys alreayd have the ram and this case - https://www.wootware.co.za/lian-li-...ck+Steel+Micro-ATX+Mini+Tower+Desktop+Chassis
Any changes to the build ?
NOt sure if I should go 750 fully modular or 850 semi modular psu
750w is way over kill, people pay to much for power supplies. 650w is probably also overkill. The modular vs semi modular is mostly about cable management. With full modular you only add the cables you need so nothing extra hanging around to neaten up. Performance wise there is no difference.
For an AMD build 750w is also plenty. You should have enough head room for an upgrade. That CPU is 65W TDP and the GPU is 150w TDP so even with a few drives etc you are not even at 50%
Not a bad price, I've still just got to get my fans rightOrdered some Thermalright TL-M12-S ARGB and Thermalright TL-M12-S ARGB Reverse fans from @Progenix Oj101, to replace the boring Scythe Kaze 120's that I have installed at the moment.
I was initially going to get the Antec Connect 120's, but these are sold in packs of three, so I would have paid more and gotten another fan that I would not use. Plus at least this way if worst comes to the worst and I have to RMA one, I don't have to send all three back. Not a bad price, I've still just got to get my fans right
Those Antecs are poo, to be honest - very noisy for the airflow they have. I'm seen better at East Rand Traders (a local China-town).I was initially going to get the Antec Connect 120's, but these are sold in packs of three, so I would have paid more and gotten another fan that I would not use. Plus these look a tad better IMHO. And I get to support a forumite's store.
