New The PC Build Thread

What case do you have? As those temps sound high for a 5600x, my 5700x3d used to just clip 75 on air.
The 9700x sits around 70 with air and it being a hot day. But I do have 3 fans in the front two on top one as in and one as out plus a rear exhaust
Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini.

The Radiator pulls cold air from the outside, well, as cold as ambient is today (26).

I am sure if I played with the fan curves I could get temps to low 60's under load, but I like the relative silence more as I am not chasing FPS and it's still very far away from the thermal throttling point.

The graph that I use in FanControl:

Ah yeah my case is on the floor on a riser so it's not by my ears so I don't hear the fans. So if they crank up I don't really care.
That is a nice case

Spoilt myself a bit this year PC wise. Also picked up a Legion Go S before everything skyrockets ala RAM prices. This thing has changed my life lol.

How are you finding the handheld life?

I had an MSI Claw but didn't see much use after a while. I guess I prefer sitting and playing at a desk.

I love it man. I use it mostly to remote play from my PC, and then as a switch device. Battery life is pretty bad yeah, but i bought a really nice power bank that gives it like 4 full charges. Im taking it with on holiday so we will see how properly portable it can be then. But i love it so much. SteamOS being on it is also so nice. Much more a console and i dont have to deal with windows.

The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 has been spotted on Geekbench and PassMark pages. I honestly didn't think that AMD would do this with Zen 5, and was expecting to see this with Zen 6.

Still no actual listing, so time will tell. This could be real or duped. The motherboard being used to conduct the tests is a WeiBu D1-B850M1R100 (Galaxy Microsystems Ltd / GALAX). I don't know such a motherboard. The memory used is 2 x 48 GB DDR5-4800.

Say this is all true, then it is likely an internel testing procedure. This isn't a review.

Well kidney, liver and possibly part of an arm and leg.

Depending on how the AI drive destroys the market next year :P
Lol for me it is small upgrades next year. new keyboard and mouse. Need to find a low profile keyboard, for the life of me I can't work on normal keyboard since moving to a low profile keyboard. Normal keyboards hurt my fingers when typing.

Bought it from wootware on Black Friday, cost 3699
Still high but at least, not kidney price lol. When I build my system, I was thinking about only getting 16gig ended up going 32gig but higher latency. Even my ram kit at the higher latency is now 5K and climbing. Honestly 32gig is the way to go now
