In the market for a new toaster. Saw this one at Checkers today - Platinum 4 slice for around R350. Any known pros and cons?

Any other proposals? Must be 4 slice, pop-up toaster under R500.

Makro has a special on a similar toaster (Swan) with a glass kettle for R399 (expires on 30th) - EDIT: maybe that's R399 each.

Yeah bought a cheap platinum 4 slice toaster at checkers for R149 after our more expensive AEG one broke after only a few months.

This was one of the long ones with two slices next to each other. Other than than same finish etc. My only gripe is you can't set it higher than 2 otherwise you have charcoal.

A more horrible toaster, I have not seen.
