New Vodacom iPhone 4 pricing

The worst part about the topup contracts if you run out of airtime you have to buy prepaid vouchers and also you get no voice roaming only sms

For some people having a talk time hard cap is a feature.

So what they're saying is that they were able to offer it at these prices in the first place, but decided instead to milk the cow. Pathetic.

I hope people sign up with MTN out of principle.

Not anymore, with Vodacom TopUp, you now get voice roaming as well, so you can receive & make phone calls as long as you have airtime, the only thing that your not going to get is data roaming.

I'm on TopUp 315s and I can make and receive phones calls here in Angola as if I were home :D

One thing that Vodacom has over MTN is that you can truly use your airtime for 'anything' (eg. data bundles, sms bundles etc)....well anything besides a prepaid BB purchase...but anyway.

Too bad it took MTN to release better pricing for VC to have new plans.
Find it a bit peculiar that all this time you could only get your pay-in divided over 24 months if you were on some form of business contract. Now all of a sudden there's an exception for a Top-Up 275s:wtf:

Anyone know if Cell C gonna get the iphone?

Dude as far as I know you can't buy Data Bundles using your contract credit on Vodacom TopUp. I'm on 315's and every-time I get credit I always try to buy the 1024MB data bundle it never works

I'm on a Business Topup 200 and I have never recharged the thing outside of the monthly fees - only use it on my data card and I can buy bundles just fine. I do it via sms... "MyGig 1.2" to 100. Maybe its different on other contacts? Don't think so...

I normally try buying bundles using *111#, I will try the sms thingy maybe it will work.

Does anyone know when Vodacom will get the next batch of iPhone 4's? I was gonna go with MTN but Vodacom's offer is good value for money

Have a topup R400 and i took it with the sole intention of converting it to data, and thats all ive ever done with it. You could just use the www.vodacom4me.co.za to convert the data. Got a free 3G router for my trouble :)

What are you using to do the *111#? It has a time limit - 60 seconds - to complete entire transaction.

Are the MTN contracts data only - and then you get billed for your talk time + sms's at the end of the month.?????

That's sneaky. Especially at MTN rates.

Vodacom Top Up 275s sounds like an a good deal. You CAN convert top up airtime to data NOT sms bundles. I do it all the time on 315s. And the vodacom airtime lasts well on per second, unlike MTN.

This is actually pretty decent pricing. Is there anybody who can find out what the pay-in will be on a Talk 315s (or the monthly finance option for said pay in)?
