New WhatsApp storage tool available in beta update

The latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android introduces a new tool for managing sent and received media, allowing you to save space by easily finding and deleting large files.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, the 2.20.201.9 beta version of the messaging app brings this functionality in addition to general bug fixes and improvements.

Just add a feature that deletes all the crap you get via WhatsApp every 14, 30, or whatever days, if you actually get something worth keeping, move it to a different folder
Ja, or archive button/swipe.
Just hope they stay with cleaning their own app's baggage. Don't need a messaging app to mess around my phone's storage. I removed myself from facebook, years ago, almost time for Whatsapp.

Or sort out the stupid backup in the database folder that makes multiple complete copies for backup, 9 in my case. At least most of my contacts are on Telegram now, so I could delete old stuff, from 150MB each to 60.

I don't even use the backup feature, any more. I start fresh every time.

The only issue remaining is to be able to completely delete Facbook OFF your devices if you choose not to use this crap.

What phone are you using? I don't have facebook on my phone (Xiaomi). Are you unable to uninstall it?

steal telegrams way, but definitely make it better, often when I open click on a Telegram notification, it opens and the message is not there yet and says connecting.

And give us multi-device support.

Android SS J3, VC tablet, MTN SS android SS of my wife's. nine of them allow the removal of the infernal FB and Twitter Apps. All you can do is daily, force the Apps to stop. You can uninstall updates back to the original version, but if you are not careful, the updates will reinstall themselves

Might work, but have not tried:
