Hi Guys
So once again lightning has killed my adsl router it was a TD-W8968 which served me reasonably well.
What i would like to do as i have three old single port non wifi adsl modems one of which is a dsl-2540u which i read is a great modem to use with a wifi router.
What i want to run off the router is two pc's with cables mostly used for gaming and youtube.
Then a android media box for netflix hulu and kodi.
Also two laptops and about three or four smartphones and an ipad.
Laptops are used for facebook and youbue.
My budget is R1000 and R1500 max.
What is important is load balancing of the router the TD-W8968 did it reasonably well but i am sure there must be something better.
I would have really loved a microtik but i don't have the knowledge to set it up and i know there are guys who would help you, but i don't wanna bother someone at 2 am in the morning if my router is giving problems.
I have been looking at tp-link routers but in every case you read good and bad reviews.
I also read one or two good revies about this trendnet router http://raru.co.za/electronics/151195-trendnet-ac1200-dual-band-wireless-ac-router but i have never used trendnet.
Tp-Link routers i have looked at is :
TL-WR1043ND http://raru.co.za/electronics/1178033-tp-link-300mbps-4-port-gbe-wi-fi-router
TP-Link Archer C7 http://www.dbg.co.za/product_info.php?cPath=1_55_56&products_id=931
Please guys any advice will be listened to and very much appricated!
Thanks!
