Firstly thanks for reading this.

My house starts 50 m from my office so I can get a weak wifi signal in the closest bedroom. I have a Belkin wireless G+ MIMO ADSL2 + Modem router .I would like to be able to get the wireless signal throughout my house and to connect my CCTV (pc based) in my house onto the net to view via dedicated website.Big old house with numerous walls to get to my Bedroom

should I :
1) send through a network cable then access point in the house ( will I need repeaters ) cable
will be approx. 70 m
2) extend wifi signal ( what's the best option )
3) Nanostation ? (read it someplace)
4) get better router ?

I know this stuff is pretty rudimentry to you guys but I just don't trust the retail shops to give me the right equipment and advice.

I live on a farm with the closest neighbour about 200 meters away so I could put up something that would blanket my place.

thanx :o

Since the Belkin router (I'm assuming this is in the office) you have does not allow for an external antennae to boost the signal you have a few options:

1) Replace the current router with a DLINK or LINKSYS which allows the connection of an antennae which you can mount outside your office externally (Optional depending on signal strength)
2) Place a wireless extender/repeater in your home connected to an antennae which you can mount outside your office externally (Optional depending on signal strength)

The external antennae's are optional based on signal strength between your current router and a repeater/extender placed in your home. I would suggest buying an extender/repeater and seeing what the signal between your current router and extender is before buying additional antennae etcs.

Thanx Quovadis

If I run a LAN cable from the Belkin ( yes in my office) into the house to an access point there would that be a more economical option ? I intend connecting 2 notebooks (wirless), PS3 (LAN) for gaming and CCTV (LAN)can this be done ? .What would the best Access point system be in this situation and is the LAN length a concern?
I believe Linksys N adsl router are good should I change the Belkin? and does Linksys make an a good Access point system?

Thank you for your time.

Barn , seeing as the distance is lower than 100m and you have 2 routers in both locations i would suggest having lan cable as your link, your current setup is a easy one my friend and very do able.
just make sure that you have one dhcp server ( normaly one of your routers) if your not running manual ip's.
pm if you want some advise :)

lighting

What is your experience with lighting like in your area. You could have problems if it smacks the ground close to the UTP cable between house and office.

I would personally look at Wireless between house and Office.
